Control horn day today. The control horns need to be trimmed down to fit nicely into each of the different surfaces. A quick and easy way to get very close is to put the horn into the plate and put it on the surface and make a line where to cut. Once you do the first check all the other surfaces and confirm that will work for the other slots on the other surfaces and mark and cut. The flap horn we mount reversed and sand down so itโs just the lower hole. Once these are all set and test fit, sand the power portion that will get glue, just enough to ruff it up so you will get good adhesion later on when we go to glueing. I decided that I wanted to paint the horns and horn plates, I found that BEHR Premium Unmellon Yellow Gloss is a match to the yellow on the sprint. (Pic of can in the pictures). Remember to wipe down all the horns and clean off all the oils and dirt before spraying. A quick tip is to use a box and slice into it to hold the control horns and then a strip of double sided tape to hold the plates. A few light coats should do here then let dry. I also wanted to paint the inside of the fuselage where you can see into the back end of the turbine and went with Tamyia X-18 and brushed it on so I did not have to mask it all off. #pilotlife #flying #jets #boomerangrcjets #boomerang #rcjet #pilot #paint #behrpaint

I got to fly the new unreleased Boomerang Ranger today, it flies very nice and doesnโt seem have any bad tendencies. To keep cost down, the jet has a 2 piece fiberglass fuse with built up wood wings and tail. The kit will include the airframe, electric landing gear, pipe, composite fuel tank along with all hardware and linkages. #boomerangrcjets #boomerangranger
