. 🚨 Honda Civic Eg4 B18c4 🚨 . This one came to us as a rolling shell as the customer had removed and sold the b18c swap previously fitted to go with this super super low millage b18c4 swap we sourced for them at only 19k genuine miles!! The plan is for the customer to go turbo at some point hence the c4! . We had a boot full of goodies as well as us supplying lots of parts for this build which consisted of things like refurbished wrinkle black rocker cover with an fittings, skunk inlet & throttle body, service items inc cam belt & water pump. Customer supplied 421 manifold, a whole load of @chasingjs titanium hard ware, hybrid racing shifter and plate and lots more…! . With everything built up and fitted we re plumbed the fuel system with some much safer compression fittings opposed to jubilee clamps! Re wired the ecu plugs and distributor wiring as it previously had a vtec controller fitted and managed a first start up on the p73 ecu! . Once we knew everything was working as it should it was over to @street_racers for mapping and supply of a brand new p28 socketed and chipped ecu to enable them to map the car! On the dyno the car performed faultlessly with 0 issues and made the highest figures we’ve ever seen on a b18c4 swap @ 211bhp/186nm which we mostly put down to it being such a healthy low millage swap! . 🚨 Honda Civic Ep2 Type S 🚨 . So this ep2 was in last week for a few jobs as it was purchased as a project car by the customer one of which was to get the car roadworthy again! It had no front bumper or headlights or headlight wiring for that matter, front N/S ball joint had excessive play, brake pads all round needed replacing and there was two bald front tyres! . We started by supplying and fitting a set of ep3 facelift front headlights and looms and also supplying a facelift front bumper painted in the car colour(well as close as being as it has typical paint fade)! . We then supplied and fitted a set of pads all round and whilst at it supplied a set of freshly refurbished ep3 alloys and tyres which really complimented the red! . A set of facelift ep3 front seats and door cars were also supplied & fitted which are far nicer than the original! We also supplied and fitted a head unit and a replacement outer steering wheel due to the bad wear on existing! . The central locking was also playing up with the alarm sounding every time we went to start the car! A replacement keyless entry module and fob reprogrammed and everything is now working exactly as it should! . . 🚨 Eg9 Vti Coupe 🚨 . So we had james eg9 in recently for a few jobs! Car has been stood a while and wouldn’t run and when it did it ran poor, upon closer inspection we noticed the main 80a fuse had blown causing no power to the car what so ever, I’d suspect this to of potentially been caused by crossing the terminals, new fuse installed and we had power! Car had a flat battery in the key fob remote which was immobilising the car so again new battery and she fired up, after a couple of minutes running we could smell fuel so inspected and found the lines to be totally rotted with multiple previous poor repairs carried out which would answer the poor running of the engine. . After looking further into the underside of the car and the condition we decided to report back our findings to the customer who decided to go no further and have the car collected so they can decide what they want to do with the car in the future! . 🚨 Ep3 type R 🚨 . We had Jamie’s ep3 in yesterday for a supply & fit of a oem exedy clutch kit, main seal & mtf 3 gearbox oil as the car became extremely difficult to get into gear despite him recently buying the car and being told it had a new one in there! It was clear to see it was a cheap and nasty clutch that was well on its way out! . We also replaced upper driver side mount with a solid vibra technics as it was completely torn out causing some nasty noises. . Coolant system checked for leaks and all checked out perfect! . Last job was to identify the exhaust leak which we found to be a small hole in the centre pipe which we welded up but then found the back box to be cracked also. . . 🚨 Honda Civic Ek4 Turbo 🚨 . We had @matt.kimpton1 ek4 in recently after he lost compression on his old N/A b16a2 motor on 2 cylinders, we discussed his options and had a healthy b16a2 with a race tech turbo kit in stock which was perfect for the job so we arranged collection and got to work getting the old swap out and the new swap fitted, ancillaries swapped over and then taken up to @street_racers for mapping! We had some replacement boost pipes fabricated and cooler mounted over @rwdevelopmentsuk, we also replaced disks & pads whilst it was in due to it being sat for over a year! The car went on to make just under 300bhp on waste-gate pressure 9psi which is more than safe for one of these b series Motors with more roof if the customer decides to push it further in the future simply by equipping the ecu with PWM and fitting a boost controller! . The car has now gone up to have a new cat back system fabricated as the one we gave the customer free of charge temporary for mapping wasn’t in the best shape having came from a crash damaged car! . The car will be back with us in the near future for some more work such as cv boots, rear disks & pads and a replacement sump gasket due to it weeping, at this point we can inspect the car to ensure all is ok with a few miles being put on the set up! . . 🚨 Ep3 Type R 🚨 . Wayne’s ep3 came into us last week for a replacement 3 piece @exedyclutch kit & oem main seal! . It was clear to see it was well over due from inspection upon removal, and as you can see from the state of the main seal that was also overdue, we always advise a main seal whilst doing a clutch job as it’s a good preventative and to ensure the new clutch isn’t contaminated, 80% of the main seals we see show signs of leaking! . We also cleaned everything as it was caked in oil from inside the bell housing to the outer casing of the gearbox, most won’t go to this extent but this is what standard practise should entail! . Whilst we were doing the job we found front & rear mounts torn and also ball joints rubber boots badly torn so we had some inserts in stock that we fitted and got a set of ball joints to us immediately & fitted. . This customer got in touch recently regarding there knocking ep3 engine, after a short conversation we booked them in for a supply and fit of a healthy k20a2 long block, we got the car recovered and bought back to base where we began the swap over, during the swap we fitted timing chain, tensioner & guides for safe measures! . 🚨 Ej9 B16 Turbo 🚨 . We recently finished this customers b16 turbo build of and sorted a lot of issues along the way! Customer booked in just to finalise and finish but upon dropping the car of it was evident that there was far more needing to be done! We got the car on the ramp for a full inspection & run down where we found a fair amount needing to be done! One of the jobs was a sump gasket so we drained the oil to start to then find even more work involved when we were greeted with thick milky oil, so we advised a top end strip down where we found the oil canister on the rear of the block had been plumbed to the idle control valve and filled the engine with coolant! 🙈 We got the head of to inspect and clean thoroughly to ensure there was no milky oil left in there, skimmed & pressure tested head and a full top end gasket kit to ensure it’s as it should be. . So now we had rebuilt the top end it was time to continue sorting the other bits we picked up on in the inspection, we had new oil feed & oil drain lines made up with some heat management, new gaskets all round for the turbo, we extended and mated the down pipe to the centre section, rear callipers underwent a rebuild as they were seized, vac lines were all replaced and neatly routed, all unwanted vac port’s correctly blanked (not just bolts shoved in), supplied and fitted all boost pipe clamps that were missing, new torque mounts ect! . To finish up we supplied and fitted a jumper harness and socketed and chipped ecu ready for mapping over at @street_racers where it made 7psi waste gate pressure at 300bhp. . . 🚨 Ek K24 Turbo 🚨 . So following on from @brandonwattts selling his aero deck turbo that we used to look after for him he purchased this k24 turbo ek and shortly after booked it in for a full inspection and check over to which we found an array of things wrong with this build from poor wiring to extremely poor fabrication and overall build quality! We put Brandon a list together of exactly what we recommended to be rectified which unfortunately was the majority of the build. . So we started with stripping all wiring, breather, fuel & vac lines, we stripped all charge piping, exhaust, screamer, radiator in preparation for @rwdevelopmentsuk to work his magic and redo all fabrication side of things inc a new 2in1 radiator with a integrated oil cooler! . Fuel system was redone using the correct ptfe hose and an fittings with heat management added along with a new hybrid racing fuel rail, we refurbished the rocker cover in spoon yellow and had 2 an10 fittings welded in with new lines to the custom catch can. Vac lines were all redone and routed neatly with one of our custom brake booster vac lines made up, oil feed line & oil drain also redone with a replacement sump and fitting due to existing having a crack, The water pump, tensioner & idler pulley also replaced with a replacement aux belt and also alternator and starter motor replaced. . We finished the job with a freshly refurbished set of callipers in spoon yellow to match the rocker cover accompanied with a set of Rpb disks and ferodo pads and a full brake bleed all round! . As you can see from the before & after pictures it’s night & day in difference, the final stage was having the car re tuned over at @street_racers where it made a healthy 500bhp! .
