Tech Talk: Lightened Flywheel?? The stock 14.4lb flywheel with an action clutch 8lb flywheel. There is noticeable difference in start-up, idle, and the peppiness of the rpms. A huge reduction in vibrations. The reason a GK5 would switch to a lightweight flywheel is to allow a shorter delay between power from the engine to the transmission. Downside to a lighter flywheel resides in the lower speeds when more torque is needed. Ready Set Go? S/O to the whole team and everyone that Helped me along the way for this build, with a 3 month deadline for @officialhday to take off, I decided to push myself into bringing El JEFE out to play from B series to K series platform. 1st pass I broke axle inside the diff, unfortunately had to pull the trans to pull diff out and take it all apart, but we got it done with the gang. Second test pass car had an issue with traction control so we decided to turn off for following pass to get some data. 3rd pass to qualify I dialed in a 9.80 and clicked new PB @ 9.81 advancing to the next round 🎉. Unfortunately somehow I didn’t hear when they called for next round and ended up not running anymore for the night. 5-star Review 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Jason Bischof I honestly haven't even installed this clutch yet. But the customer service was worth a review. My clutch is about gone in my 2020 Civic SI. None available anywhere near my location. Had multiple clutches in carts on different sites trying to see who could get me a clutch in the shortest time at a decent price. My phone rings and it just says Action. I answer and it's Action Clutch calling. Unfortunately I was driving and forget the reps name. But he asked what they needed to do for me to complete my transaction. I told him my story and he offered to send the clutch overnight for around $120. The price of the clutch was already lower than the other clutch I was looking at. But he then told me about a 20% discount sale they had that I wasn't aware of. I pulled over and we stayed on the phone until I finished the online transaction. He immediately had the clutch pulled and shipped. 18 hours later my clutch has made it from LA, CA to Pittsburgh PA. And all for less than it would have cost for a clutch from any of the competitors.
