We’ve always been told it’s not if but when something like this happens. Last night it happened. @drew_kolenda took a little spill on the dirt bike from a jump. The headwind and a gnarly lip on the hill resulted to have the bike be lifted up into a sky wheelie. Break tapped but didn’t get the clutch all the way in in time and caused it to stall. Makes landing pretty hard to do in soft sand. Drew landed on the bike and road it out to the best he could but eventually went over the bars. I have seen Drew take some hard hits in his day but it was scary to see him not bounce right back up after this one. Knew something was wrong. Was unconscious for a few minutes well we waited for ER and the DNR team. They did great job getting him out of the dunes safe and sound as fast and easy as they could. After a long night and many of test Drew has a broken collarbone, broken rib followed by a few fractured and bruised ribs. And a slight puncture in his lung. The Er team is on it making sure he will heal up quickly and safely. He is resting and will be back as soon as he can. His head and neck all check out to be good and that’s important. Thank everyone who helped and reached out. Including mom and dad rushing home from Florida as fast as they could. #bucketbros #bucketbrosparadise
