The first month of 2024 is complete 🎉 As we bid farewell to January, I'm gearing up with a fresh mindset for February! Here are the two mindsets I'm taking into this month ⬇ 1️⃣ Be a finisher. This has been the unanticipated theme for my students at the start of 2024. I noticed one of the common hurdles we've all struggled with is not starting, but finishing. From launching a business to setting up more marketing automation to getting all the way through that really helpful podcast, there's something to be said about the finishers. They will reap more overall because they made sure nothing was left on the table ✔️ 2️⃣ Grind in gratitude. Business is a grind right now. But it's always going to be a grind in some way, shape or form. Whether it's grinding away at keeping tons of customers happy or grinding away to get those customers in the first place, that's what the entrepreneur signs up for. I just passed 4 years of Lindsey Wagnon Marketing. Here's what you can learn from my biggest mistake. In August 2019, I launched well. Really well. I leapt from corporate with so many clients and interest and I was low-key drowning very quickly. 2021 was one of those exceed goals without even trying years. According to the stats, most businesses take 5-7 years to achieve what I had in year 2 😳 The biggest mistake I made was assuming this would always be the case. I never really got around to selling. To pushing for new leads. To putting myself out there more. 2023 Lindsey really wishes she had done a better job of that. But God is good and we are fine - just not 2021 fine, haha. The biggest thing I did right in my first years of business was saving. Saving. Saving. Saving 💰The truth is, I was terrified of business taxes, ha. True story (and slight rabbit trail): I worked for someone a long time ago who wasn't paying his business taxes. He got caught by the IRS and WHILE I WAS ON MY HONEYMOON, my sweet friend and co-worker emailed me that the office door was locked, the IRS had the key and his video of my wedding - it was a video production company - and my single professional possession (an office chair) were forever locked inside and I've never seen them since. Yep. Pay your taxes, people. Never stop selling and always be saving. That's what I'm preaching after 4 years of full-time entrepreneurship✨ Whew, that was a bit vulnerable for the 'gram, huh?
