36 of 52. Porthtowan (or how the moon ruined my photography). The afternoon looked so promising, right up to the point where I finished work, got changed and headed to the coast. The clouds had disappeared, leaving every landscape photographers worst nightmare, completely clear blue skies. Then, having checked the tide chart and seeing that it was going to be low tide, off I went. The first beach I went to looked like the tide was in (Chapel Porth) so that wasn’t an option as there isn’t a beach when the tide is in. Bit odd I thought to myself, bloody tide is meant to be out! So I drove down to Porthtowan, which was quite busy and not as photogenic as I remembered it to be. I really struggled tonight but I thought it was worth taking this shot and using it as an example of how things don’t always go to plan. Apparently the moon is in the wrong place to affect the tide too much or something or other, which is why the tide didn’t move much and ruined my evening. I therefore blame the moon for this weeks offering! . . . . .
