Spent the day at Children’s Fairyland in Oakland. While it is not a Disney park, Walt did visit in 1955 shortly before building Disneyland, and Fairyland served as inspiration for a few of his ideas. He actually hired the first director of Fairyland and one of its puppeteers to work at Disneyland. It’s a wonderful place, and worth a visit.
