The last in my EV series is the GOAT, the car that gave me hope for EVs! THE TESLA ROADSTER!!! Yes I did the Tesla roadster two days ago… but this is the good one! I’m deeply saddened by how much better this casting is than my Lotus Elise as the body’s were sourced from Lotus and yes it may have originally featured laptop batteries but its still one of the coolest cars I’ve come across while blasting through the Sumner tunnel. It's hump day here at Dude's Garage and for the last of the black Japanese customs for the week, we have the rally icon, the Subaru WRX STI from Hotwheels. This was the first custom I completed to be honest, and the result helped motivate me to continue. This beauty has been stripped, recolored with black and red, with a color shift green/gold/red stripe. Added racing numbers and the ADVAN and West decals, as well as some smaller ones all around. What's happenin my fellow dude like people and happy Tuesday to you! The second dudelovesdiecast custom on the #diecastdyno this week is another one I am very fond of, the custom honda Civic eg from Hotwheels. This car is so cool I'm so glad they released such an easily customizable drag Civic for us! This one really got the full treatment. Strip, respray with black, gold and the same champagne color shift. Got some super dope gold Spoon racing /no good decals as well as rear light decals from @jiwacustom which really set this beauty apart from the crowd. This one got lowered in the front, with a shaved front lip, and a metal hood exit dump pipe, with some handpainted headlight and turbo/ front mount intercooler details. Wheels are DudeLovesLayers buddy club 6 spokes on some @monoblockwheels tires. Again, I have a long way to go in the world of customs, but I'm pretty happy with what I've been able to make so far. Greece: the birthplace of mathematics, wine and many parts of modern civilization (pretty much). Located strategically between Europe and the Middle East, this place has been a melting pot of cultures for thousands of years. Athens, and the Peloponnese region, has been my location the past 10 days for a wedding and a vacation and I was lucky enough to take some great photos of this amazing place. Dinky Toys 503 1st Cab Foden Flat truck with Tailboard £595 Supplied from a Somerset shop owners estate in September 2022 who retained some shop stock Dinky Toys dating from 1953-1961.Believed never to have been in circulation and where I have viewed and selected around 100 stock for sale. No touch-ups noted except a factory touch to a Weetabix Van which is known to have regularly occurred. If you want to know what is there just give me a call.This Model.Foden 1st cab tail board lorry with violet blue cab and chassis and orange bed, cab side flashes and blue ridged wheels. It has black ST tyres and a spare mounted by a silver nut fitment below.Light tested and original. Quality control from the Binns Road Liverpool was not the best and many new models were released with faults and chips.This is a shop fresh 1st Cab Foden Tailboard with lovely bright paint work. The flat bed is quite curved and lifts in the middle. There are a few chips around the model particularly the front wheel arches. The wheels, tyres and silver nut fitting are very nice with no faults. A great looker and not a mark seen from the front. This is the correct later 1st series box in blue card with an orange full wrap over both ends label. There is a large ‘B’ to one end in blue signifying the colour of model within. There is no sun fading and very little base rubbing. The labelling is complete with 9/- written in pencil in two places. Dinky Toys 039EU Chrysler Saloon £795 (marked down from £1100) Announcing a “Diecast Gem” American classic in all over cream with green ridged wheels. This is a very scarce US Export. The base plate has an open towing cut out. Never an easy model to find in any condition. It comes Unboxed as sold from a shop keepers box of six models.This model became one of six American classic cars, affectionately known as the 39 series. The Chrysler was original launched in the pre war period 1939 alongside the other 5 models and eventually came to the end of its life in 1952. In 1950 each model was given special liveries for the US export market and three of these models were painted in two tones including the Chrysler. The US exports have become particularly sought after and when in really good condition fetch a premium. This model is one of those.Very rare. It would be hard to find a better model. Museum quality. A superb example with hardly a mark. Please study the digital pictures. I have light tested the model and there are no touch ups. Totally original. Some lines on the base where model would have been placed on a drying rack. The paint finish is superb with a like new finish and sheen. Dinky Toys 563 Heavy Tractor £550 Supplied from my own long standing vast Dinky collection.This rare colour version in deep blue of the 563 Heavy Tractor is a wonderful piece for the collector who wants the very best. The deep blue paintwork and blue plastic wheels are finished with deep olive green original tyre tracks and a brown metal driver and tow hook. All gear sticks and exhaust cowling in untarnished black metal. It comes in a brown lift off box with red and white label wrap over.Fully light tested and no touch-ins noted. This superb detailed model in deep blue is an extremely hard colour to find. This is the very best example I have ever handled. The tyre tracks are in great order the metal driver with none of the usual head chipping. Bright shiny original paint. Beautiful.. Tiniest of marks only. So close to mint. The lift off box is strong with no tears or repairs. The white with red writing label is very nice to the box top. One end label has an original price lightly removed. The other end has minor loss and some brown staining. A factory ‘Blue B’ is printed to this end. What's going on dudesfam and happy Hump day to you. Been very busy in the background doing some customs and am finally getting the hang of working with some decals. More to come in a few days. But first, this weird thing. I tried to use this color shift acrylic and the whole bottle was completely solid. I had to cut the bottom off to even get it out. 3 of my 6 bottles had this problem. Wtf?! Pretty bummed. I tried putting it in some acrylic thinner but it's doing nothing. I guess I'll stick to alcohol based going forward. Have any of you ever had this issue? I love hybrid supercar and this one sure is a doozy with over 800hp and instant rip-your-face-off torque. I'm a nod to their German owners, the FKP 37 stands for the initials of Volkswagens chairman Ferdinand Karl Piëch and the year he was born.
