Where in Disney are we? Dumbo! My absolute favorite ride as a kid. My family likes to tell the story of waiting, in the Florida heat, for what seemed like forever for Dumbo. It was finally our turn & I wouldn’t go on because the Dumbo wasn’t pink [come on, that’s reasonable!]. I insisted we wait for the next ride so I would have a pink Dumbo 💗🐘 Kiddo 2 used to be scared of this ride [when she was age 2 and 6]. She will now ride it, but still skips Magical Carpets which is pretty similar. When Disney invites you to come cruise on the Dream and experience the new protocols, you go! Disney hosted us at the Grand Floridian last night and provided breakfast this morning and a snack bag to take on the motor coach to Port Canaveral this morning. Traveling with our Disney representative is such a treat! I did manage to run into Magic Kingdom Park last night to see Happily Ever After one last time! It was Magical as usual! My favorite attraction in all of Walt Disney World? It's Flight of Passage at Disney's Animal Kingdom! You may have heard this ride described as "Soarin' on steroids." And while there's some truth there, it doesn't even begin to describe the immersion of Flight of Passage. The full wonder of this attraction begins with it's breathtaking queue and carries you all the way through until your banshee lands at the end of your adventure. The Imagineers out did themselves with this one. In fact, I still tear up just about every time I ride! It's really that amazing! Agree or disagree? My husband is 6'7", so fitting into the motorcycle-like rice vehicle can be a bit of a challenge. A Cast Member once told him to take his shoes off before climbing on his banshee. We took a walk with Captain Phasma in Tomorrowland on our Disneyland trip and it was the coolest thing! Alice was in awe! We aren't used to characters wandering around as much at Walt Disney World. . . When Disney World reopens, there will be no traditional character meets for awhile. However, there will be something new called "character cavalcades." These sound a bit like smaller-scale, impromptu parades. We're excited to check them out on our September trip and will report back!
