I get so many questions thrown my way about wedding dress shopping… But what’s the point in keeping all this wisdom to myself? So, today I’m jumping into your Feed with my top 5 bridal tips! 1. TRUST YOUR CONSULTANT 🙏 Your consultant knows the dresses and sees hundreds of brides with different body shapes try them on every day. We know what will look good on you and what gown will accentuate your best assets! 2. HAVE AN OPEN MIND 🧠 Make sure you share what you like (long sleeves, mermaid style etc) but also be open to lots of other suggestions & styles!! Most brides come in being “certain” they want something and then always end up choosing the opposite! 🙊.. and yes try the dress on your mum or grandma has asked you to try on as they have been looking forward to this special day too! It will either be a straight away NO or you may end up surprising yourself 😎 3. YOU MAY NOT CRY 🥲 Don’t put pressure on yourself to react a certain way! You just know when a gown is the one.. and if you don’t cry it doesn’t mean you chose the wrong gown! I always find the gown is the one for you when you have been in it the longest and don’t want to take it off! 4. BE PREPARED TO STRIP DOWN 💃🏻 Most brides choose to go braless in the change room (which most consultants prefer) as you get to see what the gown design looks like without seeing a purple or black bra through the lace 🙊 every store is different but for us we will always build in NUDE bust lining into your gown made specifically for your bust size and shape. 5. CHOOSE YOUR SPECIAL GUESTS WISELY 💫 it’s normal for brides to arrive by themselves.. there is nothing wrong with this! However, if you choose to bring your special guests, choose wisely. Remember the more people = more opinions which results in one very confused bride! I once had a bride bring 9 … YES NINE people but none of them would all agree on anything.. the bride loved a gown but there was at least one of them that didn’t. It's probably best to take two or three people whose opinion you trust and value. 🤎 I’d love to hear from you! Where it all began! I started Zolotas Bridal from my spare bedrooms back in 2016 whilst working full time in maximum male prisons! (Chalk and cheese I know! 😅) I still remember every bride that said ‘YES to the dress’ & it has been a pleasure watching them transition over the years from a fiancé, to a bride to now new mums 🤍 Fast forward to 2019, I came across a beautiful heritage listed building in Subiaco that I knew would be perfect for our vintage-bohemian gowns. Part of the reason I chose Subiaco is because of its “village feeling” and quirky coffee shops that made me feel like I was back home in Greece 🇬🇷 For anyone that hasn’t been to @seesubiaco lately it’s a must 🌿 We’ve come a long way since 2016, but I’ve never lost that very same passion for @zolotas_Australia I had from day one 🤍 Pictured next to me is my husband, Ryan who has been there from the start and who is the muscles behind the business 💪 (lifting mannequins and setting up expos is hard work 😅) I thought I would jump on here so you get to know a little bit about me and it’s always nice knowing where your going to be shopping for your wedding dress!
