20 years of Influence 🔶️ This one tops my 2023 highlights as it crossed out one of the top items on my bucket list — to have my poems or at least one read by Urbandub, specifically Gab (please see the last photo). I did it with my 2013 poem (the last one I've ever written). It feels so good to be validated again as a writer/poet. Also, happy to be able to score an autograph for @adiective shirt ♡ So, apologies to some unread and unanunanswered messages, I'm still overwhelmed (and also physically sick). Even messaged some of my friends that night, "Wait lang. Nanonood ako ng UDub. Mamaya na kayo. 20 years ko ng mahal si Gab. Sorry." HAHAHAHA! -- More of this to come. Our first album Birth was released back in 2001. The only goal was to record songs as a remembrance album for our original drummer Jed Honrado who was set to leave to go back to the US. An independent release. We were all very young and wide eyed. Close to no budget to pay the recording studio and very little knowledge about recording an album. You’ll always remember your first. This album will always be special for us, because it opened our eyes to the joys of creating music and recording. It was the catalyst that pushed us to where we are today. Midnight we will finally get a chance to share this album for anyone who’s followed our journey. It’ll be available on all streaming platforms. Grateful to @warnermusicph for partnering up with us on this project. Excited to retrace our roots. #dubista
