However, just as marriage has and is continuing to evolve, so has our understanding of what an elopement can be. At Weekday Wedded Bliss we embrace the 'spirit' of elopement. For us that means... ✴︎ No frills - No decorations, no invitations, no guest lists or seating charts. ✴︎ No fuss - Easy to plan, relaxed and enjoyable on the day, no rush, no run sheet and definitely no family drama. Perhaps no one even knows! ✴︎ No furniture - Elopements are all about flexibility, spontaneity and adventure. You can't have any of these if laden down with chairs, tables, arbours or elaborate decorations. ✴︎ No mic - Elopements are intimate and personal. Divya and Adrian’s elopement at @chaletsblackheath was a beautiful mix of cultural traditions. It included a Garland Ritual whereby the groom accepts the bride’s proposal of marriage. The groom then gifted his bride a mangal sutra invoking the Hindu goddess Lakshmi - arbiter of wealth, fortune and prosperity. That vegan cake I was talking about!!! Yep, this is it 😍😍😍 ... Thank you to the incredible @liamtfoster for these images that make my cake look amazing ... I had the special request from a couple who went through @elope.bluemountains for a Vegan Chocolate Cake with chocolate genache. They wanted red writing and in a heart shape ♥️ ... As someone who is not normally a vegan chef, I won't lie when I was a little nervous, but I am so happy with this outcome ... I filled the cake layers with a raspberry chocolate compote and topped with a coconut chocolate genache, some little red hearts, and fondant stamping (my new found love) ... This business is pushing my boundaries, and I'm loving it 🙌 ... The best thing was the review I got from the couple who said it was the best cake they have ever had ...
