On December 13-14, 2023, in Almaty, an international ENQA commission visited as part of the Eurasian Accreditation Center (ECAQA) inclusion procedure in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR). The commission included representatives from academic communities and accreditation organizations from Germany, Georgia, Lithuania, and Belgium. Over two days, 12 events took place with the participation of 45 accreditation experts from Almaty, Astana, Aktobe, Karaganda, representatives of the Accreditation Council and Expert Council of ECAQA, heads of ECAQA-accredited educational organizations in 2023, foreign experts from the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Armenia, Slovenia, Uzbekistan, and student experts. The visit's program of the ENQA commission were aimed at obtaining evidence of ECAQA's compliance with ESG quality standards in accreditation, the effectiveness of stakeholder interaction, and the efficiency of quality assurance procedures. В течение 2-х дней состоялось 12 мероприятий, в которых приняли участие 45 экспертов по аккредитации из Алматы, Астаны, Актобе, Караганды, представители Аккредитационного совета и Экспертного совета ЕЦА, руководители аккредитованных ЕЦА в 2023 г. организаций образования, зарубежные эксперты из Чехии, Болгарии, Армении, Словении, Узбекистана, эксперты-студенты. Мероприятия программы визита комиссии ENQA были направлены на получение доказательств соблюдения ЕЦА стандартов качества ESG в аккредитации, эффективности взаимодействия со стейкхолдерами, результативности процедур обеспечения качества. ℹ În ultima perioadă, experții evaluatori ai #ANACEC au început să fie implicați tot mai frecvent în evaluările realizate de Agențiile partenere atât în universitățile din Europa și Asia Centrală, cât și în regiunea Caraibilor și America de Sud. Pe parcursul lunii noiembrie evaluatorii noștri, în calitate de experți internaționali, au participat în evaluarea instituțională și a programelor de studii desfășurată de #IAAR în cadrul Universităților din Tadjikistan și Kirghizia, iar săptămâna viitoare îi vom regăsi în evaluările externe realizate de #ARACIS în România. ✅ În același șir al evenimentelor, în perioada 20-22 noiembrie, Carolina Timco, expert evaluator al ANACEC, participă în calitate de evaluator-observator în cadrul misiunii de evaluare externă a #CTI (Comission des titres d’ingenieur). Evaluarea în vederea acreditării programelor de studii ”Inginerie electrică” și ”Informatică industrială” derulează în cadrul Școlii Naționale Superioare în Ingineria Tehnologiilor (ENSGTI), parte componentă a Universității din Pau și a regiunii Adour (UPPA). Procesul de evaluare în Franța, precum și în celelalte state cu Agenții membre #ENQA și #EQAR, este similar procesului de evaluare realizat de ANACEC în Republica Moldova, având la bază standardele și liniile directoare pentru asigurarea internă a calității, aprobate la nivel european, ceea ce facilitează integrarea experților internaționali în procesul de evaluare a calității studiilor superioare. 🎯 Putem constata, recunoașterea internațională a ANACEC, implicit a studiilor superioare realizate în cadrul Universităților din R.Moldova, a devenit o realitate. #promovămculturacalității #calitate #educație #recunoaștere

Në datat 14-17 Mars, Drejtoresha e #ASCAL Znj. Xhiliola Bixheku dhe Përgjegjësi i Sektorit të Marrëdhënieve me Bordin e Akreditimit dhe Ndërkombëtarizimit Z. Erion Xhako, morën pjesë në një shkëmbim stafi në Madrid, Spanjë, në Agencia Nacional de Evaluación de la Calidad y Acreditación ( #ANECA), në kuadër të projektit “Implementation and Innovation in #QA through peer learning” ( #IMINQA), në të cilin #ENQA merr pjesë. Gjatë këtyre ditëve, takime të frytshme u realizuan me kolegë të #ANECA për të diskutuar dhe përftuar praktikat e mira rreth temave lidhur me procedurat e vlerësimit të jashtëm në kuadër të akreditimit të IAL-ve dhe programeve të studimit, përfshirjes së studentëve dhe stakeholders në proceset e vlerësimit të jashtëm, procesin dhe rrugëtimin e ndjekur nga #ANECA në kuadër të anëtarësimit si anëtare me të drejta të plota në #ENQA dhe #EQAR, si dhe për të shkëmbyer eksperiencat më të mira në fushën e sigurimit të cilësisë në arsimin e lartë. #ASCAL falenderon kolegët e #ANECA për mikpritjen dhe organizimin dhe #IMNIQA për mundësinë e realizimit të këtij mobiliteti.

Douglas Blackstock dhe Drejtori i European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR), Z. Colin Tuck, shoqëruar gjithashtu nga Koordinatori i Projektit Z. Alexis Fabregas, zhvilluan një vizitë në Tiranë në datat 1 dhe 2 Shtator 2022. Qëllimi i kësaj vizite ishte njohja me progresin që ka bërë Agjencia e Sigurimit të Cilësisë në Arsimin e Lartë (ASCAL) në lidhje me përafrimin me Standardet dhe Udhëzuesit Europian, në këtë fushë. Në këtë kuadër u zhvilluan takime me Ministren e Arsimit dhe Sportit, Znj. Evis Kushi, Drejtuesen e ASCAL-it, Znj. Xhiliola Bixheku dhe stafin e Agjencisë, si dhe me Kryetaren e Bordit të Akreditimit, Znj. Shqiponja Telhaj dhe Anëtaren e këtij Bordi, Znj. Darinka Piqani. On a Saturday afternoon in late July, a small crew of vendors set up shop in booths winding from the sidewalk on Tujunga Avenue into a small, Studio City outdoor space where they sold everything from ceramics to screen prints to an Armenian pastry called nazook. The first Queernissage, sponsored by local Armenian LGBTQ+ group GALAS, took its inspiration from Yerevan’s own outdoor marketplace Vernissage for an event filled with pride and solidarity. . As we settled into a corner of the patio area, with Armenian music playing in the background, GALAS board member Natalia Sookias noted that a number of the vendors began making their items as fundraisers for relief efforts in Artsakh, the ethnic Armenian enclave that was attacked by Azerbaijan last fall. “There was this really incredible phenomenon where Armenians just mobilized internationally and connected with each other over the internet, which is really remarkable to see,” she says. “It was incredible to see all of the initiatives that people started in order to raise money.” That includes Sookias, an L.A.-based artist, who made and sold prayer bowls during the war and had a booth filled with her own ceramics at the market. “I feel like it brought a sense of urgency to my culture, where there was this fear of erasure,” she says of the events last fall. . The Artsakh war raised the visibility of Armenian activists, both online and in Los Angeles, and that’s also true for LGBTQ+ activists, who’ve had a presence at protests while also standing against homophobia and transphobia both within and outside of the Armenian community. . “One of the things that I noticed with all of the general action that was happening around Artsakh was that a lot of LGBTQ Armenians were actively engaging with the broader Armenian community,” says GALAS board member Lousine Shamamian. “Prior to that, there was a separation of Armenian queer folks…they didn’t feel a sense of belonging to the bigger community.” . Initially originated 3,000 years ago, the Olympic games made a comeback in the 19th century in Greece. In honor of the Greek god Zeus, the games were held in Olympia from 8th century B.C. to 4th century A.D. In 1896, the first modern Olympics took place with 280 participants, 12 nations, and 43 games. Every two years, the summer and winter Olympic games have been held separately ever since 1994. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions the 2020 summer games were delayed, thus naming 2021 games in Tokyo - 2020 Olympics. . From 1952-1988, Armenian athletes competed in the Olympics as a part of the Soviet Union and won several medals. Some of the gold medal winners were Vladimir Yengibaryan, Albert Azaryan, and Nikita Simonyan. . In the Summer of 1992, in Barcelona, Armenia first took part in the Olympics under a Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) team and were successful. Although only having five athletes participating, Armenia won four medals. Hrachya Petikyan, a sharp shooter won a gold medal, Israel Militosyan, a weightlifter won a gold medal, Mnatsakan Iskandaryan, a wrestler, won a gold medal, and Alfred Ter-Mkrtychyan, a wrestler won a silver medal. . Soon after their first participation as a part of CIS, Armenia joined the Olympic games as an Independent nation in 1994. That's the assessment of Outsports, which has been tracking the athletes — 168 of them — and the group is tied with Brazil and Switzerland. . Happy National Amelia Earhart Day! Today we celebrate the first female aviator to fly across the Atlantic Ocean alone. She is remembered by many for her courage and her passion that led her to become one of the most known women worldwide. . Amelia Earheart first became intrigued in aviation and piloting at a state fair as a child. Not impressed by its external makeup, Ms. Earhart did not fully indulge in planes until she saw a life-sized one at a stunt-flying exhibit. . In 1915, after graduating Hyde Park High School, Ms. Earhart attended Ogontz, a girl’s finishing school in Philadelphia but did not finish. During WWI, Earhart became a nurse’s aide in a military hospital and later became a social worker at Denison House in Boston. In 1921, Earhart took her first flying lesson and after saving enough money, she bought her first Kinner Airster plane and named it “The Canary.” Ms. Earhart set her first record with “The Canary” as the first woman to fly 14,000 feet. . In April of 1928, Earhart received a call asking if she would be interested in being the first woman to fly the Atlantic to which she agreed and trained for until June of 1928. Accomplishing this goal not only proved that Earhart was capable to do as she set her mind to, but also showed all girls and women that they are capable to do all things that men do. Yesterday, Monday July 12th marked the first day of non-binary awareness week! The week celebrates and raises awareness for non-binary peoples, their communities and the issues they face. . Non-binary awareness week was first celebrated in 2012, it starts the week preceding July 14th, which is recognized as non-binary awareness day. . Non-binary individuals identify outside of the traditional gender binary. They may identify as “having two or more genders, having no gender, moving between genders or having a fluctuating gender identity, being third gender or other-gendered.” Non-binary identities have existed throughout many cultures for centuries now, from Hijra peoples in the Indian subcontinent to Māhū peoples in Native Hawaiian and Tahitian cultures. . Non-binary awareness week is for non-binary peoples. As stated by the Activist Bookshelf, allies must “focus on doing work to end transphobic oppression and support us in fighting for our rights.” It is ultimately up to non-binary people to decide what the week focuses on each year, however generally it includes, “a mix of awareness projects, serious and vital advocacy, fun celebratory events.” . Allies can help celebrate by educating themselves and supporting or donating to orgnizations that aid non-binary people. In the first century AD, Armenia found itself as a buffer state between Roman and Parthian Empires. Parthian King Vologaesus I replaced the previous Armenian king with his own brother, Tiridates, to establish a new Armenian wing to the Arsacid house. This Parthian election meddling didn’t sit well with the Roman Empire. As a compromise in an ongoing conflict, the two superpowers agreed that in the future, the King of Armenia was to be a Parthian prince, but the appointment required confirmation from Rome. To symbolize this submission, Tiridates was summoned to Rome to gain the emperor's approval. The rules of engagement were undefined. . At the peak of his manhood, Tiridates was a gorgeous warrior with a glorious beard. His beauty was the fable of the times. Cassius Dio, a Roman historian, described the Mediterranean-looking king as "...in the prime of his life, a notable figure by reason of his youth, beauty, family, and intelligence” and that Tiridates “resembled the early Romans in that, besides coming of a brilliant family possessing great strength of body…” Accompanied by his Queen and his sons, Tiridates began the 9-month treacherous journey to Rome in 65 AD. LGBTQ+ activists from Tbilisi Pride were forced to cancel a march planned for the evening of Monday, July 5, following violent attacks in the Georgian capital. Today, we honor and celebrate the life and art of the prominent Soviet Armenian actor, the great comedy actor of cinema and theater Mher Mkrtchyan. . [Armenian translation below] . Mher Mkrtchyan, better known by his stage name Frunzik, was born in Leninakan (now Gyumri) to father Mushegh Mkrtchyan and mother Sanam Mkrtchyan, both of whom were orphaned survivors of the Armenian genocide. Mushegh Mkrtchyan fled to Gyumri from Mush, while Sanam escaped the genocide from Van. . Mher's nickname, Frunzik, was given to him in honor of Soviet general Mikhail Frunze. Growing up, Mher took an interest in the arts, and attended the local art and music school. As a child, he would put on informal shows for people living in the neighborhood. Frunzik's father praised his acting talent, but pressured his son to pursue a painting career. During this post World War II time period of Mkrtchyan's life, poverty and hunger was a commonality. As such, his father stole cotton from the textile factory to sell in the blackmarket for extra income to feed his children. Mushegh Mkrtchyan was arrested and given 10 years of hard labor. Thus, Frunzik and his siblings grew up with their mother, Sanam, who is attributed to giving the actor his sense of humor. At the age of 17, he began to study and partake in at the Leninakan Askanaz Mravyan Theatre Group, his first formal experience acting in theatre. . Frunzik studied in Leninakan Art College and Theatre Studio and then graduated from the Acting Department of Yerevan Institute of Fine Arts and Theatre.
