Got out in the great weather yesterday to do a little fishing. It is still not spring yet but the fish are starting to show a little more activity.
Pushing for spring even though it's still February. Spent some time on the river today. As you can see the water was still a little high from the rain last week but it was clear. I caught the nice Rainbow on a dry fly! Total 3 fish and 4.5 miles. It was a great day to be on the water. I can't wait for spring.

What is up with the weatherman? Partly sunny? How about no sunny. Then it rained. Luckily the temperature was high enough that getting wet wasn't dangerous. Hiked 5 miles, caught one fish. After the rain, the fog rolled in and stayed the rest of the day. Even after all that, it was still a great day of fishing!

Mental health day on the river. Started just below the dam. The water was clear and cold. I managed a little brown trout and a nice yellow perch. After a couple of hours, I moved down stream a ways and was surprised by the change in just a few miles. High and muddy! Then more rain. At that point, I called it a day. It was still nice to get out on the water.

I was lucky enough to get chauffeured down the river by @kevin.p.griffin in his River Rat. What a sweet ride. We managed a couple of dozen fish and had a great float. Next time I will remember the sunscreen on the knees.
