What a world we live in. This studio scale escape pod model was stolen from a fellow modeller. They were providing a display at a CHARITY event, Echo Base Convention in Amsterdam. That's my B'omarr Monk maquette finished. Do want to replicate the number 22 sticker later though. Mounted it to a 150mm x 150mm Valchromat base. Being resin, it does have a support rod as the legs are super dainty and I'd rather it not warp. It's took a lot of work in kit part sleuthing, and a lot of research between me and Guy to emulate the brain globe in a manner that is robust and also safe being glass. We slotted the raw test castings together the other day for the Bill George Y wing Replica. All fits very well and it's kinda weird seeing my scratch work duplicated in resin again. Parts for the run are being worked on now, so work will begin very soon. Ok. Had a few flat days of being bonded to the couch, i started casting some more of the fine ancillary parts. Decided today to get the struts and rings on hull #1. Its a nightmare of a job, very tricky to align, but its came out OK. Will try follow on now daily getting all struts on each model. Then its a case of a final gang mold for some minor parts to be added, rear tail fins, and then base coating. Finally after days of casting the rest of the plant on donors, work has begun on ROTJ Y wing number one. A very small production run of five completed 14" Y wing replicas. No kits, just fully finished ready to display replicas, that will be as perfect as i can possibly offer. Only three raw model will exist of this, it will not be offered publicly. A lot of research went into this one, and while its not 100% IDd, the few micro parts still unknown can be added scratch built.
