Sono passati 50 anni dal lancio della prima #vwgolf , da allora si sono susseguite 8 generazioni, riuscendo sempre ad innovarsi e a non tradirsi mai. Per festeggiare questi 50 anni ho deciso di scegliere 3 modelli che hanno segnato la storia.. la mia storia! La Golf GTD mk2, è stata la prima auto su cui sono salito.. Quella che vedete in foto era l’auto di mio padre. Ricordo bene quando mi portava in giro con la sua Golf. Ricordo le domeniche mattine, quando scendendo giù in garage, trovavo mio padre alle prese con la manutenzione e io cercavo di fare il suo piccolo assistente, sbagliando pero tutte le chiavi e facendolo cosi arrabbiare..😬😂 Quella che vedete in foto non è una Golf 5 tuning.. ma si tratta di una concept.. To create the concept, VW engineers started off with a standard Mk5 Golf GTI but then slotted in the twin-turbocharged W12 of a Bentley Continental GT behind the front seats, making the GTI W12-650 mid-engined. VW made some pretty wild cars in the 2000’s (Veyron, Phaeton, Tuareg V10 TDI, Passat W8, etc), but the Golf W12 is easily the coolest of them all! Where else can you find a twin-turbo 12-cylinder mid-engine RWD hatchback with a roof scoop and flying buttresses?!? It’s such a shame that VW never put it into production.

Tako je 2007. godine nastao jedan koncept za Worthersee festival. U pitanju je Golf 5, ali ne bilo kakav. U ovu peticu Volkswagen je ugurao jedan od svojih najvećih motora, a to je 6.0 W12 iz Bentley Continental GT koji je razvijao neverovatnih 650 konja. Takodje je dobio kočnice od Lamborghini Gallarda i RS4 i automatski menjač sa 6 brzina iz luksuznog Phanteona. Imao je zadnji pogon. Ovaj Golf od 0 do 100 ubrzava za neverovatnih 3.7 sekundi, a maksimalna brzina je 325km/h. Pošto je ovom konceptu jedan od većih problema bio hladjenje tog motora, morali su da stave ogromne usise sa strane. 2007 VW Golf GTI W12-650 (Concept) This is probably the most insane VW Golf, as well as one of the most interesting concept cars ever. In 2007 Volkswagen decided to develop this thing for the GTI-Meet at the Wörthersee in Austria. Basically what they did is stuck a 6.0l Bi-Turbo W12 engine in the middle of the car. It definitely wasn't an easy task to put an engine this big into a small Golf though. It puts out 650hp and 750Nm of torque, which gets sent only to the rear wheels. 0-100km/h is possible in just 3.7 seconds and the top speed is 325km/h (~200mph), which makes it the fastest VW Golf ever made.
