I’ve bought a Fiat 500s! What a lovely car this is. I’ve always admired the S trim level for the 500 and it does make all the difference in comparison to the Pop which I had a few months ago. You get niceties such as half alcantara and leather seats, red accents all around, a sportier sounding exhaust and those nice gunmetal grey alloys piloting a more angry looking bodykit. It’s no different mechanically to any other 1.2 500 but it all stacks up to one nice package. It’s no substitute to an Abarth but it is ideal for someone who likes the high spec without all the performance flim flam. This one is finished in a really nice grey shade. I don’t usually care for greyscale cars but this really suits it. It’s on 66k miles and has recently had a cambelt. It also has very good service history and is immaculate throughout. What an up and down start to the race weekend at @brandshatchofficial 1st lap of testing, and we managed to drop a valve head, which blew cylinder 4. This would usually mean home time, but we managed to find an engine, and the engine swap was underway. New engine in and fired up lead us to another problem that being a leaky clutch slave cylinder in the gearbox. Box back out and swap that over for another sourced part. Car was able to get out for Qualification and finished with the best position we've ever had and then managed to finish the first race. 7th in class was an even bigger bonus after the late night and stress. Just got home from a lovely canyon drive. My goodness the VW Golf R is good. Believe it or not, this is my first time driving any Golf R of any generation. It’s simultaneously so accomplished in the twisties but so refined too. With all the all wheel drive poise, wonderfully tuned suspension, and strong grip from the Hankook (!) tires, it really is a point-and-shoot kind of performance car. Most drivers will never reach the handling limits of the Golf R even though the entire package keeps encouraging you to go faster and drive harder. But again, it does so in a most refined and civilized way. It might be slightly less engaging than the Golf GTI because of all that (and I’m undecided about which I like better), but man is it fast and unflappable. It’s too bad about the interior though. I miss the days (and it wasn’t long ago) that Golfs had nearly Mercedes-Benz levels of interior quality. VW having to pay for Dieselgate meant that the interior quality took a humongous hit. Even a Nissan Sentra has interior materials and finishes that blow the nearly $50,000 Golf R’s interior out of the water. That cheap interior is a real disconnect paired to the otherwise extremely premium drive experience. And don’t get me started on the infotainment system or general lack of real buttons and switches. At least it all seems solidly put together. Good thing it’s so great to drive then. But really, a $50,000 compact hatchback needs an interior to support rather than detract from the otherwise fantastic drive experience. #vw #volkswagen #vwgolf #golfr #vwgolfr #hothatch

The Swift was a bigger, more powerful version of the smaller Kei SUV. The Kei was available in 3-door and 5-door versions. The Swift was mainly offered in 5-door format but! Suzuki decided to sell an special 3-door version called the "Sport". It was put on sale the 15th of June, 2003, remaining into production until the 16th of April, 2004. It was known as the Ignis Sport in other countries. It was powered by a fuel-injected 4-cylinder 1.5L. DOHC 16-valve M15A unit able to send 115ps (JIS) to the front wheels and exclusively mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Length:3,62m. Weight:930kg. The '03 Swift Sport came standard with a bodykit including sportier bumpers, rear fenders and a rear spoiler, white 15" alloys, ABS,EBD, tinted rear glazing, Recaro seats, white-faced gauges, twin front airbags, A/C, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, etc. As options, some fog lights, another front grille, body decals, mud guards, an extra set of gauges, window wind blockers, metal pedals or a metal shift knob were also available. The '03 Swift Sport was available in Brilliant Yellow, Bright Red II, Blueish Black III and Silky Silver Metallic. White was also available some time later replacing the red.
