Even though the reviews are really bad about this new attraction at City Walk, we still decided to go. We chose Jurassic World. I agree with most of the reviews. This is not an escape game. It’s more like an immersive experience. You are in a group with other people (we were lucky as our group was really good). Each room is amazing, very high tech. At one point, you really feel like you’re gonna be attacked by the dinosaurs. But I did not enjoy the games. You feel rushed and then you don’t even know how you did. We were just told we did better than the average. It’s a very expensive experience for what it is. But we will be back next year to do Back to the Future room which has even worst reviews. I'm late really late posting this, but a few months ago, I got to experience the Great Movie Escape room at @universalorlando is City Walk I've never done an Escape room before, so I can't compare it to anything, but it was really fun. My group did the Jurassic World room. It was very well themed (no pictures allow in the Escape rooms, so I don't have any photos inside) and the puzzles weren't overly hard so it's family friendly for all ages. Universal’s Great Movie Escape at Universal Orlando’s City Walk is a fun, family friendly activity, perfect for your arrival or departure day. There are 2 movie escapes to choose from: Jurassic World or Back to the Future. This is a separately ticketed experience. Regular parking garage parking is included, but be sure to check the Universal website to see how to get that. It is recommended to arrive 15 minutes early. There is a bar with specialty drinks for purchase. And the entire experience takes about 50-75 minutes. We tried Jurassic World, and while it was fun, it would have been easier to complete with a larger group. I would try Back to the Future next time. Have you ever done an escape room? Had a great time today at the #GreatMovieEscape experience at @universalorlando’s #CityWalk. Got their early to have a Gigawatt Glow. Then no one else signed up for the Back to the Future room, but employee @lindsay_gabriel was awesome and jumped on my team to help earn top honors! Then met a lovely family from Alberta, Canada who honestly did most of the puzzle solving in the Jurassic World experience. Then I had a candy bar! Definitely immersive and still fun even tho it’s not a traditional escape room! Now for some rest before tomorrow night’s show!

We checked out Universal's Great Movie Escape! Instead of a traditional escape room, the attraction offered here at Citywalk is a string of escape rooms with various puzzles, both physical and digital, forcing you to problem solve with your group. You can go at your own pace, but be warned, if you do not accomplish a goal in the allotted time, you will be ushered into the next room. At the end of your game, you are given a score consisting of four tiers and a number ranking between one and fifteen! There are two games available based on two of Universal's most iconic movie franchises, Jurassic World and, the one we did, Back to the Future! I won't spoil what's inside of the Back to the Future game, but if you're a fan of the movies, you're going to love this game. If you remember the long defunct Back to the Future: The Ride that Universal Studios Florida once had (replaced by The Simpsons Ride), you'll find some similarities between that and the game! All in all, I found value in my experience, but that is ultimately going to be subjective group to group. Personally, I can't wait to return for the Jurassic World game. Desde dezembro de 2022, a #GreatMovieEscape foi inaugurada no parque #UniversalCityWalk. A nova atração é um escape room com duas aventuras de fuga distintas, uma inspirada nos filmes de #JurassicWorld e a outra na trilogia De Volta para o Futuro. A experiência (em inglês) é focada em contar uma história de forma imersiva, por isso, os desafios são aleatórios e mudam a cada visita para que todos os integrantes do grupo participem. Ao entrar no universo do Jurassic World, os jogadores interpretam o papel de geneticistas num laboratório da Isla Nublar (a ilha dos dinossauros). Para passar por todas as salas, eles terão que fazer várias tarefas, como alimentar dinossauros, coletar DNAs e fugir de um predador que se libertou. Let’s talk about last night. At Universal’s CityWalk, I visited The Red Coconut Club, had dinner at Cowfish, went back to the future at The Great Movie Escape and finished off with a milkshake from Toothsome Chocolate Emporium. First up, The Red Coconut Club. This Old Vegas style club bring a fushion of Cuba & the tropics in a chic and luxurious lounge. With 2 full bars, a dance floor, an upstairs patio overlooking CityWalk and live music (on select nights), there’s so much to experience just in this one spot alone! Up next, The Cowfish. This restaurant presents a fusion of burgers and sushi. With two floors of dining, original pop art throughout the restaurant, larger-than-life fish tanks and excellent waitstaff, this is a must visit on your next trip. Third one up, The Great Movie Escape. This is CityWalk’s newest addition, and it did not disappoint! This experience offers two movies you are fully immersed in, Jurassic Park and Back To The Future. This escape room is unlike any other escape room, in the sense that you’re not technically trying to “escape” within your time frame. Instead, the goal is to complete as many puzzles as possible within an hours time. After completing your experience, you and your group is given an overall score, which corresponds with one of four tiers. Last but not least, Toothsome Chocolate Emporium. I love the steampunk theming of this restaurant. I was so overwhelmed with the milkshake options, but the staff was happy to help me decide. I originally wanted the limited edition Mardi Gras shake, but they were unfortunately out for the evening. So I decided on the Espresso Buzzzz.
