A lot has changed 💕 The shop made itself at home in our house for the first 6 and a half years. I miss seeing all those happy tees stacked high as I walk down the hallway. However I wouldn’t trade all the magic moments we’ve had at the brick and mortar for anything. I spent the day getting the shop ready for tomorrow’s opening and our upcoming Frozen day. I really do 💕 How about you? Hugs have always been a comfort to me. On both good days and bad I can always use a hug from my friends and family. This past week our family has been sharing lots of hugs as we walk through loss and heartbreak. My sister in laws home burnt down and my Grandpa passed away ❤️ I am so grateful that we have each other and live close enough to surround my sister’s family and my Grandma with hugs, encouragement and support. We all need each other. We need someone. We were not meant to do life alone. God gave us the precious gift of family and friendship. At my brick and mortar I try to welcome all my guests with a hug and a great big smile (unless someone sneaks past me while I’m visiting with another guest) I realize that’s unusual in this day and age (or maybe ever! Remembering that special morning back in August we spent @king5seattle studio with @newdaynw I was SO nervous but James and Jenny were by my side and we had so much fun 💕 Thank you to the staff @newdaynw and @jennycookies for making this small town girls dreams come true. So excited for my third and final race during Disneyland’s Half Marathon weekend and first time in 7 years!! Well that was fun!! What an unexpected adventure @knottsberryfarm We literally decided to go on the car ride from the airport to our hotel today. We didn’t have Disney reservations today and had planned to go see a movie and just relax but then we had this crazy idea, hahaha. 😂 Our family has never been!! (James and I have been to chicken dinner with family years ago and I’ve been inside the park for a short visit with my parents when I was younger but this was all a new experience and we enjoyed it. I kept saying how weird it was not to know where we were, where the bathrooms were, attraction names, what to eat, etc. we literally were LOST most of the time, LOL, and yet it was such a great day 🎉 Fun to do something NEW and we’ll be back. Finished off 2023 with my favorite elf before losing my phone, LOL. Took me a few days to realize I left it at church after singing FOUR candlelight services on Christmas Eve. What a crazy, wonderful, stressful and beautiful year. God is good. The shop is open and Happiest Tees is continuing to bring joy and a little magic to Instagram, and my hometown. My mom and I have been doing this race since year 2021, but this is the first time that our doggies have both participated along with us. One of my favorite things about doing races, and especially themed races, is dressing up and having fun with the race outfits and costumes! Besides the usual awards for runners for 1st, 2nd and 3rd and age group category awards, they also had special awards like “best holiday spirit”, “best group costume” and “best dog costume”! I get REALLY excited every time someone walks through the door of my shop…and I almost fell over when I turned to see my friend Ryan had finally closed me to check out the shop. LOL. I kid you not 😂 (that’s him in the 1st pic) I hope you know how much you matter to me. The reason I’m still doing this all these years is to cheer you up. To send a little light and encouragement your way. I know life can be hard and we all need a little reminder that it’s going to be okay and we still have SO much to be grateful for. Happiest Popup EVER! What a whirlwind that was. First off, thank you Dick, Arlene and Laura for having us at this magical event. We are so honored you asked us to create special merch and join you celebrate one of our favorite people.
