Do you just like pretty things?" Well yes, yes I do. But let me tell you about the pretty things I like. I'm in love with the moment a father sees his daughter in a wedding dress for the first time, and the look in a mothers eyes when she helps her once little girl into a gown. I love the face grandma gets when she gets to let the youngest in the family wear the family's oldest heirloom, and the awe on a woman's face when she sees herself in a mirror, right before she steps out of the suite to be walked down the aisle. I love the pride of a mother as she begins her dance with her newly wed son, all grown up and ready to love another. I love the joy in the toasts of a proud father. I love the old married couples who attend to bless the newlyweds journey, sturdy in love of their own. I love the young couples, effervescent in hope. I love when old friends stand by eachothers side, and when two families come together. But mostly I love the look on the couple to-be wed's face when they see eachother for the first time. So yes, I like pretty things; but what I give to a couple is so much more than a beautiful table setting, mood lighting, and stylish decor (as much as I like those things too). I give them a day of rest after months of planning. I give them the promise that things will run smoothly so that they can enjoy the loved ones who have traveled from near and far. I take on the logistics so that they can enjoy the day, stress free, so they can appreciate and participate in the things that are truly beautiful about their wedding, the things that have nothing to do with the style or decor.
