M E E T - T H E - O W N E R S Het verhaal van Ann en Gino van Casa la Donna ☀ Het verhaal van Casa la Donna begint eigenlijk al in 1996 toen de mama van Ann het huis kocht en zich in de Algarve vestigde. Al snel voelde het daar als een tweede thuis en werden we zelf ook verliefd op de prachtige streek met haar magnifieke kust, haar afwisselende seizoenen, de mooie natuur, het lekkere eten en de heerlijke wijntjes 🌸💘 In 2019 kwam Ann’s mama terug naar België en besloten we om het huis te renoveren en als vakantiewoning te verhuren. Via een wederzijdse kennis ontmoetten we Tom van Zalig Algarve en waren onmiddellijk enthousiast over zijn aanpak en zijn concept van verhuur. Corona zorgde echter voor vertraging, maar in 2021 konden we dan toch aan de inrichting van onze vakantiestek beginnen. We poogden zoveel mogelijk de oude charme te behouden en te combineren met een hedendaagse toets en zijn super trots op het resultaat. Door een tegenvaller met de watervoorziening beslisten we in de winter van 2022 om de tuin voorzien van graspartijen en planten die veel water vragen, te transformeren naar een ‘water dry’ tuin 🌸 Casa la Donna voelt voor ons telkens weer als thuiskomen. De oase aan rust, het adembenemende uitzicht, de verrukkelijk geurende bloemen, genieten van een uitgebreid ontbijt op het terras en van de ontelbare spectaculaire zonsondergangen. Zei ik reeds dat we daar dus gewoon super graag zijn? Via Zalig Algarve vonden we dan ook de perfecte manier om anderen te laten meegenieten van ons vakantiehuis. En dit was het begin van een geslaagde samenwerking. Afgelopen zondag sprak ik deze lieve visserman. Hij had die dag niets gevangen maar een van de belangrijkste attracties van Ericeira is de gastronomie met traditionele vis- en zeevruchtengerechten. Naast gegrilde vis zijn zeker de zeevruchten aan te raden. Ericeira is vooral bekend om de kreeften die in kweekvijvers met zeewater worden gekweekt 🎣~ Last Sunday I spoke to this sweet fisherman. He didn’t catch anything that day but one of Ericeira’s main attractions is its gastronomy with traditional fish and seafood dishes. In addition to grilled fish, seafood is definitely recommended. M E E T -T H E - O W N E R S Het verhaal van Marie-line en Luc van CASA LA PAZ ☀ Een aantal jaren geleden zagen we heel toevallig in het programma “Boeketje Vlaanderen” een prachtige reportage over het indrukwekkend mooie Portugal 🇵🇹 Dat heeft ons zo getriggerd dat we een rondreis planden vanuit Porto via Lissabon en de Silver coast om te eindigen in de Algarve. We werden verliefd op de volkse mentaliteit van de Portugees. In de pittoreske dorpjes genieten de mensen onder zomerse temperaturen op tal van pleintjes van gegrilde visjes, gebraden kippen of mixed grill. Er werd gezongen en gedanst! 💃 We fell in love! 💘 Het jaar daarop wilden we specifiek de Algarve beter leren kennen. Mijn vrouw ontdekte het prachtige vakantiehuis 'Andorinhas do Mar gelegen' in Santa Barbara de Néxe 🏡 We voelden ons er meteen thuis, waardoor we dit huis drie jaar achter elkaar hebben gehuurd! We waren helemaal verliefd geworden op de Algarve, vooral op de regio rond Santa Barbara. Met advies van Tom begonnen we op zoek te gaan naar ons eigen huis. Na meer dan een jaar zoeken vonden we eindelijk onze droomplek, en tot onze verbazing lag die op nog geen kilometer afstand van Toms eigendom! 🫶 We kochten ons huis eind 2018 en doopten het om tot Casa La-Paz. Meteen na de aankoop begonnen we het volgens onze smaak te renoveren. Natuurlijk wilden we ook andere "Portugese liefhebbers" laten genieten van ons vakantiehuis. Tom was erg enthousiast over ons huis, dat precies aansloot bij de stijl en het aanbod van huizen op het verhuurplatform Zalig Algarve. Casa La Paz schittert op deze website als vakantiehuis 14, het begin trouwens van een succesvolle samenwerking.
