Will I ever learn??? I’m 42 years old, and I continue to make the same mistakes again and again and again. In my marriage. In motherhood. In this LIFE in general. I can be such a slow learner!!! Like, today I cut bangs. Again. Even though experience told me I hate bangs and I can’t fix bangs and I will constantly be annoyed by bangs flipping into my eyes whenever I pull my hair into a ponytail and the very second I cut bangs I will wear tiny barrettes and bobby pins to hold my new bangs out of my face until said bangs are once again tuckable… I popped into the hair place and said, “You know what??? I think BANGS would be fun!!!” And my wonderful hair lady cut me some cute little curtain bangs. So, I guess I’m back to bobby pins. Again. It’s a great metaphor for my marriage, motherhood, this LIFE in general. Every day we are met with so many lessons. And it’s okay to make mistakes. It’s okay to get it wrong. It’s okay to fail. Every day is another chance to get back up, pop in a couple of bobby pins, and TRY AGAIN. Maybe one day, I’ll learn ❤

It’s Friday night and damn near a full moon, so it’s burgers, beer and blankie nests for all the #carbsandfeelings This stout from Gallows arrived on my doorstep today after I panic-purchased some aesthetically pleasing cans while trying to lock down what I swear was the only Canadian Tuxedo left on the internet. While I am super keen to have a crack at alllllll the maple syrup related things, the Gallows / Catalyst felt appropriate this evening, with it’s dark and moody can wrap. And it didn’t disappoint - a very coffee bitterness that hangs on the back of your tongue and reminds you to take another sip. It’s playing nicely with the burger and a side of fries that’s big enough to feed 87 at least.
