Story of block printing: Blocks were found its initial origin in china, where a man named Gong has carved tiny letters on a piece of wood and learned he can paint it with color and print multiple times. But he headed to his Governor and mentioned that he was gifted with a jade block by a supernatural power , so that he need not use his brush or feather to write, and he does this lonely inside his room as the power works only for him when no one watches. The Later new Governer found out the Gong play and executed him. Since then block printing has evolved to print messages and spread Buddhism .
