Run down of todays refeed, 2 weeks 5 days out. A refill of the tank to freshen up before the final push, then a cruise into peak week tapering down training as well as expenditure. Got extremely in my own head when the boss said a refeed was going in as I’m not happy with condition whatsoever and wanted to continue on with digging, but nevertheless your coach will always know best. The “peaking” protocol so to say begun today with arimidex in EOD to pull water aswell as superdrol in from may 1st. We’re closing in on the final 2 showings yet it feels like prep started yesterday. Meet Laurie 🌟 Before we started working together Laurie had mainly focused on running/circuit style training, but was not 100% confident with how to weight train effectively. Over 16 weeks Laurie has worked extremely hard during her sessions and learned how to correctly weight train to reach her goals. She’s absolutely smashed it and in just 16 weeks she has made some amazing progress. Starting with an 8 week build plan involving eating in a calorie surplus with an increased protein intake. Followed by an 8 week very gradual cut before her holiday to Aus ☺️ Initially Laurie wanted to “look good on the beach in four months”….. “By the time my holiday came around, I’d learned much more about myself and fitness as a whole. I used to over complicate the process, I’d set so many goals at one time I limited and halted my progress, Prioritised excessive cardio in order to “burn calories” over weight training, I over restricted nutrition, created terrible disordered eating behaviours, Lost my period for a number of years, Until it all caught up with me mentally and physically I HAD to change. Here’s what I do now ⬇️ 💫 Focus on nourishing my body with a variety of whole foods instead of low calorie “hacks” and restricting food groups and my calorie intake 💫 Have plans and focus on progressive training. I have programming centred around my current goals which I execute and work on getting stronger and fitter 💫 being the best I can be and an inspiration (I hope) to my clients and family that you can literally come from nothing and build yourself, and continue to get better 💥 And be a complete beast and savage. I’m part way there but not even close. That vision keeps getting stretched 🌟 Fitness has been a huge love for a number of years now, but it’s so much more fun when you have goals set and focus on the process of making real progress instead of spinning your wheels obsessing over the mundane sh*t. I am so bloody proud of @lauren.kj_ and the commitment she has for herself and bettering her life for not only her, but her beautiful baby boy 🥹🩷🩵 Lauren and I started working together in 2022 when she was completely new to the gym. We worked on her confidence with basic movements and she grew incredibly confident. We started again at the beginner of this year post baby with the goal of getting back down to her pre-pregnancy weight and fitting comfortably in her clothes again. She has been a bloody inspiration for any new mums out there, not only are we only 1kg off her goal weight…she has managed to stay super consistent with her training & learnt SOOoooOoOOoO much about her nutrition all the while still having time for her beautiful boy. The way you talk to yourself can have a Massive impact on your progress!!! I talk to so many beautiful, successful women but one thing I have recognised among women is the way they talk to themselves!!! It is perceived as arrogant, big headed, cheesy, insincere, or ineffective, especially if not accustomed to practicing them or if struggle with self-acceptance. But by giving yourself self-affirmations it can be empowering, self-loving, and a form of self-care. It's a way to counteract negative self-talk and build a more positive and supportive inner dialogue. By affirming your strengths, capabilities, and worthiness, you're actively nurturing your self-esteem and confidence. If you talk to yourself negatively then you will think these thoughts and if you are trying to succeed in something then it will not happen, this is called Self-Fulfilling Prophecy. When you repeatedly tell yourself negative things, you start to believe them. This can become a self-fulfilling prophecy, where your negative beliefs shape your actions and decisions, leading to outcomes that confirm those beliefs. If you do not believe you can get fit, or change your diet or lose weight. If you constantly tell yourself you are fat, useless and lazy you will start to believe them!!! Please be nice to yourself, it breaks my heart to hear so many women be horrible to themselves. Ask yourself “would I say that to a friend/family member”? You also have to think about what impact it may have on your children or family members, do you want your kids to hear you talking negatively about yourself, calling yourself names and belittling yourself. If a parent exhibits self-loathing behaviors, such as constant self-criticism or expressions of worthlessness, children may internalize these attitudes and develop similar negative self-perceptions. Feel like Cinderella in 8 weeks…. These two did themselves proud 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️ When Laura joined my programme last year, Hyrox was booked but I wanted to know what was BEYOND...what else could we work towards and most importantly WHY? 🔑 We optimised all functional exercises as well as massively improved her running ability and volume for the event. Last week in pictures ✨ We moved house. We thought having a brownie on Friday night to “help us pack” was a good idea. It was not. The compulsory after push. As I do my fasted check in shots first thing before training, I always like to take post workout shots to have a look at how the fullness was after the session. Normally after a rest day as well the carbs have built up over the day to then use in today’s session. We’re coming back down to base volume this week as well, so no drop sets or extension sets. Almost 3.5 months POSTPARTUM 💪🏼 Excited to finally start seeing some muscle definition come back! Currently waking up at 5:20am to get my workouts in before Josh goes to work & thankfully Isaiah has been sleeping 6-7 hour stretches at night. Not tracking my calories or on a meal plan just basing my meals around a high protein base. No junk food in the house & cheating once a week because BALANCE. I haven’t started a meal plan because I’ve been adjusting to the many changes of our new lifestyle with baby boy, starting to work in person again and breastfeeding. Finally starting to feel ready to buckle down and start so I can loose 10lbs to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight which was my offseason weight. It hasn’t been easy but my gym time in the morning is my sacred time, my stress reliever I always look forward to it! I went into the gym focused on regaining my strength back knowing that the weight would come off just with consistency, eating clean and TIME! Still not even close to where I want to be but… Mama has been working!🤱🏻
