So proud of these kiddos and my hubby! They joined me in volunteering at Store to Door this morning. This non-profit supports our elderly and disabled community members by doing their grocery shopping and delivery. It’s so much fun to go on a scavenger hunt looking for the specific items on their lists and to hear their gratitude if you need to call about a substitute item, makes it that much better! Her goal was to identify any maintenance needs so she could be proactive and get ahead of anything before it could end up as an emergency fix. Home inspections are available for new buyers, sellers and owners. . . . . #supportlocal #insideouthomeinspectionsllc
What's one of the great things about summer? Opening up the windows and letting the fresh air in! To make sure you can enjoy the view and keep dust and little creatures from blowing in, all you simply need is a few common household items. For windows, the key is a simple homemade solution. Mix 1/4 cup distilled white vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon dish soap and 2 cups warm water. Depending on the number of windows to be cleaned you can mix this amount in a spray bottle or increase the portions to fill a bucket. After scrubbing the windows, rinse them with cold water before they dry. After being rinsed with water, they will dry naturally without streaks or spots. If you do not want to completely rinse the inside windows, simply wipe them down with a cloth or paper towel after scrubbing them with the homemade solution. Window screens can be cleaned with hot soapy water and a scrub brush or sponge. While your at it, this is a great opportunity to see if any screens need to be replaced and look for any gaps that need to be sealed with caulking.
