Der Gin des Tages ist der Latin Beach Gin. Gebrannt in Nord-Italien im Schatten der Alpen, steht die Latin Gin LLC aus dem amerikanischen Miami Beach dahinter und fällt durch die schöne Flaschenform auf. Der Latin Beach Gin kommt in einer blauen Flasche daher und soll die Fröhlichkeit eines Strandtages mit einer Portion Zitrus symbolisieren. Als Botanicals sind unter anderem die tropischen Früchte Passionsfrucht, Kokosnuss, Papaya und Mango im Einsatz. Man riecht leicht Wacholder und eine Melange aus Passionfrucht, Papaya und Mango, dazu etwas Kokosnuss. Genau diese tropische Mischung kommt auch pur auf die Zunge, der Wacholder meldet sich nur kurz, am Ende bleibt deutlich Kokosnuss auf der Zunge liegen, umrahmt von den süßlicheren Noten der Passionsfrucht, der Mango und der Papaya. Ein Tonic lässt jetzt mehr Wacholder durch, aber dann nehmen Zitrus in Kombination mit den Tropenfrüchten wieder die Vorherrschaft ein, bei dem der Wacholder nur noch eine untergeordnete Rolle spielt. Damit dürfte der Gin vor allem bei longdrinkaffinen Genießern voll punkten - und Ginfans, die mal neue Pfade abseits klassischer Gins gehen wollen!
