What a roller coaster the past couple of weeks have been! Despite all of my careful planning to get to MT, nothing seemed to go right. I left a week later than anticipated because of one mechanical issue after another with my RV. I ended up making the 28 hour drive in 2 days in my "trusty" #landroverdiscovery after getting the okay from #hillcountrybritish. #leiathelandy tackled that trip like a champ, and I couldn't be more proud! I've spent 5 of the last 7 days in a small ER that is being overwhelmed with covid patients (plus the regular ER patients). I've already seen too much death, and have the new experience of caring for critically ill patients while staff search multiple states attempting to locate an available icu (I'm used to receiving patients via life flight, not transporting them out). Today I was supposed to fly back to San Antonio where I will begin that 28 hour drive (again) in my RV. However I slept like crazy last night, then overslept and ended up missing my flight 😵 I'm now sitting in my hotel room in Missoula, MT munching off of my redneck charcuterie board (night stand) and reflecting on everything that has caused the physical and emotionally exhausted state I've found myself in. I've cried a lot (can't help it, I wear my heart on my sleeve), but I've also met some amazing people. I've only gotten to see a tiny speck of this state, but I've already fallen in love with these mountains. Tomorrow is a new day, and I'm sure not everything will go my way. No matter what I'll get on that plane headed south and keep on truckin' through this adventure of mine because it's my story, I'm in charge of it, and I refuse to roll over and let darkness cloud over my sunshine.

1st day at #hillcountryroverrally2019 and had to turn around in less than an hour because my girl is spilling fuel all over the freaking place!
