💕Hi FRIENDS! - Happy Saturday 😄 . #CREATIONFORDONATION . I just wanted to share with you how just two colors can create 2 different pieces. . The supplies used were @drphmartins Bombay India Ink in Red Violet and Finetec Gold (both provided by my previous #letteringbox subscription). I also used the same watercolor brush for both pieces. . The top piece was simply lettered with a mixture of the India ink and Finetec gold. I did a second coat of Finetec Gold to the top half of Lauryn's name and added a subtle shadow. Once dried, I brushed a splash of color beneath the name and some minimal splatter all over. . The bottom piece I opted for a colored background and lettered the message in GOLD! The image definitely does not show the GOLD SHINE any justice.. so much prettier in person. . Hope you gained some tips and or some inspiration to create your next piece. I enjoyed creating this for LAURYN, an amazing, brave and strong friend of Nicole @nicolettering. Who else starts every New Year's Day feeling SUPER ambitious, and then by January 10th is the same couch-laying, crap-eating, turd of a human they've always been? ✋🏼 Oh, just me? Swell. . Do you know which song this line comes from? If you were at our wedding 7 years ago you might remember... everyone cracked up when Eddoes sang this bit during his speech! Coz we all know just how much of a thug he is, of course. 😜 We didn't really have a song before we got married, but now whenever I hear this it just reminds me of that one time he seranaded me. 😊 The bridge is my favourite: "The way you can cut a rug, Watching you's the only drug I need.
