#OOTD: @lillypulitzer Tessa 3/4 Sleeve V-Neck Dress in Cerise Pink Safari Sunset, @rothys The Point in Dragonfruit This is my outfit from yesterday. I didn’t have time to post it yesterday morning. I bought this Tessa dress in the sale. It’s very simple but the print is powerful. It’s one of my favorite prints from the late fall line (I think it came out during a fall release but I am not sure). The V-Neck is slightly deep and I had to pull it up some times throughout the day. It is definitely form fitting, which I am usually not comfortable with but this was fine. It’s just a fun throw-on-and-go dress for the spring/early summer time. I am wearing a size medium in the dress. Well I am back in Philly and it’s just under 1 week until we move to NYC. There is so much to do to prepare this weekend. We have to move everything to Anthony’s Mom’s house (her garage) to store and the movers will pick up from there. We have mostly everything there except for the essentials like my clothing. So much clothing. I will be buying bins this weekend to separate my fall/winter attire from my spring/summer. Hopefully we will not have any more frigid days after 5/1. I am not used to having my clothes divided by season so this makes me nervous. And I have to put them in a storage unit which is a 30 minute walk from our building in NYC. That’s not close enough. I need like a 10 minute walk for when there is a fashion emergency. Also, the clothing I am selling will be stored there so I plan on going once a week to the unit to pick up what was sold. Hopefully I can sell more of it this weekend. Prices will be chopped due to urgency and more will be added. I also need to get a long ride in to prepare for the Bike your on 5/5. And not fall. Sheesh. Anthony fell the other night, too. He basically has the same injuries I did. I am wearing a size small in the top and size 8 in the pants. I had a very stressful day yesterday for reasons I do not want to get into. But it was truly horrible. I know a lot of people do not like the poofy sleeves but I love them, especially when they are more subtle like this dress. The entire dress is lined and is completely buttoned in the front. Another feature I like is the ruffled bottom. And the best part? Pockets! This is a great work dress. The pink is slightly vibrant but not overwhelming. I am wearing a size 8 in this dress and it fits well with some room. And look at these gorgeous #lelesadoughi earrings! I thought these would be super heavy but they are shockingly not. They just feel solid and well made. Although Lele is known for headbands, I actually like the jewelry more! There are so many unique pieces. Yesterday at work I had so many meetings and ended up not getting out of work until 5:45PM so I couldn’t go to that networking opportunity. However, we rescheduled for May. I was so bummed. But I loved working late because I love what I am doing. I need to learn how to respond to emails throughout the day when I’m back-to-back meetings where people talk to you in between them. I wasn’t able to get to any emails until 5:15PM. Yikes! I am so excited I am on the Research Advisory Council for the institution which consists of all the Deans for each school. This is where change is made. And I am so grateful to be in a job where my background and intelligence and expertise are respected and seen as valuable. People actually turned to me for advice based on previous experiences. It was amazing. Today is going to be beautiful here in NY. I am also going out after work so I wanted a dress that would not be “too much” for a bar. I have worn this dress before and I have many Solia dresses but this one is unique in that it’s a ChillyLilly fabric. This means it keeps you cool when it is hot out. It seemed perfect for my busy day of work and networking. The best thing, of course, is that it has pockets! And very deep pockets. Carried TWO oranges in one pocket from the breakfast bar this morning. The material is also very stretchy but I prefer for this dress to not be clingy. I am wearing a size medium in the dress. So yes, today is busy. I am meeting up with a group from a nearby famous laboratory with whom I interviewed with for a job… but ultimately did not take it. However, because I am so close to them, the interviewer (Director of their research program) reached out and invited me to her campus’ bar. Of course I said yes. I love networking. And it is essential to the job I am currently in. So yay! I won’t have to come back to my apartment after work and sit in my bed, order food for two days, and watch the news and then The Voice. Bright skies ☀️ never would have believed we were 4 feet deep in snow and the power was out 5 days ago . Could spring be coming 🌸 I feel like it’s possible! . Took a little adventure this morning with Miss Charlie 🐶 we have two more mornings with her and we are living them up 👏🏻 . She’s really been so good - and as much as I joke about her not being a cat, I really can’t complain. This whole experience has made me realize a few things and that makes me happy . First, I’d really have to be convinced by Mark to get a dog 😂 they are a lot of work! . Second, I do have it in me to care for another animal, and I do still have love to give 💕 . #OOTD: @lillypulitzer Hollie Tunic Top in Turquoise Oasis Shell Me You Love Me + Island Hopping Necklace, @spanx The Perfect Pant, Kick Flare in Cerulean Blue, @rothys The Point in Peacock I love Hollie Tunics. I hope they come out with more soon. This is my last one as I sold the other (including Hollie Dresses) because I wanted new patterns. The Hollie is made of a thin cotton fabric and is fitted to the upper body but loose from just under the boob to below the hips. I love how this covers my self conscious areas. This pattern is also one of my favorites from last year or so (maybe two years?). The embroidery down the front center is so beautiful and really brings the top together for a professional look for work. I am wearing a size small in the tunic and a size L in the pants. I am back in Old Westbury for work again! I will be here until Wednesday night. Then drive back to Philly to work from home 2 days. The driving is really getting to me. My coping mechanism is talking to Milo to keep me company, which I love, so it makes the rides better. But damn, I just want to be in my Queens apartment with everything in place and settled. That day cannot come soon enough. I sold a lot of Lilly and Lele this past weekend. I even have a Queen of Sparkles Sweater for sale, which I will post on stories shortly. Please let me know if you are interested in anything. Fill your big closets with great pieces as I suffer from “post walk-in in closet syndrome.” This illness is real, folks. Happy to be home 🏡 💕 . Honestly, knowing I get to work from home on Thursday keeps me going on Wednesday 😂 . Another honest truth: Thursdays have become the hardest to get out of bed and work out. I am exhausted from being in the office Wednesday and the mental and emotional toll Wednesdays have taken these last 18 weeks is overwhelming so I can pretty easily talk myself into staying in bed until the last minute…. . But not today!!! I got up and did strength training for 45 mins 💪🏻 and I’m so proud of myself! I feel so much better for doing it and proving to myself that I can do it … hopefully I can keep this momentum for next week . We also have the wrestling end of year banquet tonight 🤼 so that helped because I knew I wasn’t going to get another chance tonight to get some movement in . Anywhoozles, here we are 🎉 mini Friday!
