Digitally Restyled 1940 Lincoln Zephyr Coupe Custom with a heavy streamlined Chopped top I did a year a few years ago. The windshield was laid back a bit and the rear of the roof angled forward and reshaped to flow just right. The rear of the roof stayed in the stock location. I sectioned the Lincoln’s very heavy side window frames to get them more proportioned with the chopped top. I reshaped and reduced the running board covers, modified the rear fenders, and skirts, smoothed the hood sides and made the hood sides part of the hood with a new opening line on the cowl. I reshaped the front of the hood and added a simple piece of hood side trim to go with the new shapes. I did two variations. 1938 - 39 Lincoln Zephyr 5 window hardtop coupe. Chopped, suicide doors, modified fenders and brightwork.
🇺🇸: 1936-1942 Lincoln-Zephyr V12 Sedan showcasing some of the exquisite body details of the late thirties’ era. The car was a big success and sold well for Lincoln but its life was cut short by the production needs for the war effort. Apparently after the war, the production of this car restarted but the Zephyr was dropped from the name. The car was powered by a V12 engine displacing 4.4L and delivering 110HP. And a big deal in the brochure was that it went 14 to 18 mpg. Got quite a nice load of hubcaps today! I'm not used to getting so many in this nice of condition, most lots are usually dull/dented/rusted/scraped up from being exposed to the elements for years. All of these seem to have been previously cleaned, buffed, and had some paint touched up, which is more than I would normally do before selling. Design Study on the 1937 Lincoln Zephyr Coupe. I came across this wonderful studio photo of a near stock 1937 Zephyr, and figured it was near perfect for a quick Digital Restyling Design study. Normally I don’t do cars this low, but the rest of the photo was just so nice that I decided to use it anyway. I have done design before, but on a more front 3/4 view, and wanted to see how it looked, and if it would work on a more side view photo. The cowl has been moved back, the front fenders stretched in the back, the doors stretched, the top chopped, and the hood and hood sides reshaped. Original photo by @twotonz. 1940 Lincoln Zephyr which coincides with my previous post. This was another old design I had made with a hardtop roof before deciding to create a lift off roof. I also had played with modifying 40 Mercury headlight rings with 39 lenses. Other than those changes afterwards it is a cool ride either way!!!

When COVID hit they moved the show to a big asphalt parking lot in St. Charles. 1941 Lincoln Zephyr with my signature 40 Mercury headlight rings, chopped Duvall windshield, shaved, modified front fenders along with the trunk. 20 to 25 years ago I bought 4 Zephyrs from a collector out in St. Louis. One was a 40 Zephyr coupe convertible, the other a 3 window coupe, a 5 window coupe and a 4 door. This one is almost exactly how the convertible was destined to be, except it was going to have a lift off roof. Regrettably it was sold along with the 3 window because I prefer the 5 window coupe chopped like my next post and in one of my previous posts. But this convertible look is a close second compared to the 5 window for my taste. I'll probably incorporate this look with a removable top for the 5 window...
