Collaborating with @ClareMorton_DesignStudio was an absolute joy, especially crafting our beloved exposed drawers and seamlessly integrating the pantry unit into the rustic plaster walls. ✨This is Emily‘s & Matt’s kitchen✨it’s hard to describe how much fun it was for @ClareMorton_DesignStudio and us to work alongside them to create this bright and playful kitchen as part of their beautiful house reno. A big starting point on their list was to use London plane and yellow Fenix ultramatt laminate as the main decors. We loved the idea straight away! A perfect match to create an amazing mid century ochre vibe. The highlights for us (although it’s hard to choose) are this lovely central island with plenty of space for kids to run around and to display Emily’s & Matt’s fun collection of kitchen utensils & those nice London plane wall units. The London Plane Tree as seen on @thestreettree is thought to be a cross between the Oriental Plane & American Sycamore. Named after the city it originated from and is now the most common tree in London both as a street tree and in city parks. Who knew?! We’re having some of our kitchen cabinets particularly the cabinet fronts of the island and larder made from London Plane. It has a rich, warm tone and is patterned with distinctive flecks.
