ML63 AMG came in to us with AIRMATIC (air suspension) warnings on the dash. Turns out a front airmatic strut had burst and leaking out the air. The compressor was working overtime to try maintain the ride height and was having to shut down due to overheating, hence the warnings. The compressor was intact still efficient and passed the xentry pneumatic tests and only required the new strut. Последний раз я помню так воевал с белым цветом на БМВ Калининградской сборки, но здесь мы пошли на своеобразный антирекорд - 2 колориста, больше 20-ти тестов, 2 перекраса крыла и бампера, доколеровка отдельно на каждую деталь, почти 3 недели на все это, и вот он более-менее адекватный результат. Более-менее, потому что если присмотреться или того серьезнее уметь различать, то мы с вами увидим слегка холодноватое переднее крыло, которое под разными ракурсами по-разному себя проявляет. И я не зря сейчас детально расписываю все это, потому что велика вероятность чуть позже вернуться к нему, и сделать еще лучше. Хотя бы на столько лучше, как передний бампер, который у нас получился, не смотря на пластик, гармоничнее крыла. И вот все это время Александр, владелец этого #мерседес, то впадал в отчаяние, то негодовал из-за постоянных переносов сроков, но не переставал нас поддерживать и принимать участие, будучи скажу вам сразу более придирчивым по делу клиентом, начиная от зазоров фары, собранной на ремкомплекте, заканчивая нюансами по раскидыванию цвета. Comfort zone. Dużo słyszę narzekań na nowe samochody. Że jednorazowe, że upośledzają (to akurat może być prawda), że komputery na kołach, że małe silniczki i elektryki, tfu. Ja też lubię tę melodię – „kiedyś to było”. Jest taka piosenka dawnego kabaretu Otto „Jak ja kocham cię”. Pierwsze zwrotki są zdecydowanie czułe, a w ostatniej zmęczony wyznaniami narrator zmienia front i śpiewa: „Jak lampę kiedy prądu nie ma, tak ja kocham cię”. Ja tak „kocham” płytę indukcyjną, gdy mi woda na makaron wykipi i wszystko przestaje reagować. Albo dotykowy interfejs piekarnika, gdy muszę dokopać się do zwykłego ustawienia góra-dół przez X gotowych programów. Podobnie jest z nowymi autami. Są super. Wydajne, bezpieczne. Wspierają nas, ograniczają zmęczenie. Ale potrafią wkurzyć, choćby nadgorliwością komunikatów czy nazbyt rozbudowaną dotykowością obsługi. Ekran OK, ale kierownica?! Mam jednak wrażenie, że często zapominamy o tym, co dobre. Producenci naprawdę nas słuchają. Przywracają guziki. Robią skróty do usypiania bezsensownych systemów. Walczą o silniki spalinowe – owszem, w swoim interesie, ale de facto każde ograniczenie emisji jest „eko”, nie od razu trzeba przesiadać się do elektryka. No i właśnie, samochody elektryczne. One są młodziutkie i już zdążyły się zmienić. Ładują się szybciej i stabilniej, akumulatory konstruuje się z uwzględnieniem trwałości, a napędy są autentycznie oszczędniejsze. Koronnym przykładem jest dla mnie nowy Taycan, w którym Porsche zadbało nawet o detale takie jak skrócenie czasu autoryzacji na stacji i ograniczenie momentu resztkowego hamulców. Coś pięknego – prawdziwa inżynieria. A przecież w świecie aut spalinowych przerabialiśmy to przez dekady: gaźnik, monowtrysk, wielopunkt itd. Nie że jestem tutaj ambasadorem elektromobilności.
