I took a little social media break in the beginning of this year, but I'm back! 2024 marks 10 years of owning my WRX. I bought it new on March 9, 2014. I traded in my 2010 Impreza that I had at the time. A WRX hatch was always one of my dream cars ever since I saw @kblock43 hooning one in Gymkhana 2 and I was super excited to be able to buy one! I picked it up with 14 miles on the odometer and now it's inching closer to 99k miles. I knew pretty early on that I was going to keep this car for as long as I'm around, but back then, I could have never imagined all the adventures that I would go on! I've driven this car up and down the west coast and so many more road trips in between. It's taken me to amazing places that I never could have dreamed of! I'm looking forward to see what the next 10 years have in store for us! We are just about there on getting everything mounted from the @petersonfluidsystems tanks and components, to mounting the @ridetechsuspension TQ resis, engine cage additions with fender, fender well, and core support all by @dimestack_derek Some @chilloutmotorsports 4" dual large naca ducts to get a bit more air to the radiator with their very nice reinforced hose. The newly designed wing pylons I received from @sendcutsend look MUCH better, give the truck a more aggressive look, and moved the very large and beautiful @aprperformance wing back a good 5"! Since it's the last day of 2023, I thought it would be fun to do a wrap of the year. 2023 has both been a very challenging year, but also an incredibly rewarding year! I've been able to do more this year than I have in past years. One of the big things this year was that I was able to go to almost every single one of the @subaru_usa events this year thanks to the awesome folks over at @blipshift and Subaru of America. I managed to make it out to @subiefest California, @bignorthwest in Oregon, the first ever Subiefest Texas, @boxerfest in Pennsylvania, Subiefest Midwest, and Subiefest Florida. I met so many new people at the events and I also saw some old friends as well! Another fun thing that happened this year was that my friend @mr.whiskeypie and I started our own podcast (@backseatdriverspodcast ). We only managed to pump out a couple of episodes this year, because we both got super busy with life, but it was fun to crank out some episodes. We're hoping that next year we can be a bit more consistent and hopefully get a couple more episodes done because they're a ton of fun! Speaking of podcast, I was able to finally make it on an episode of the @subie.and.you.podcast (ep 141). If you haven't listened to it yet, you should. It was a ton of fun! I may not have been as active on Instagram this year, but I appreciate everyone's continued support. Thank you for everyone that came out to the Subie Events this year and watched me do some art. I'm hopeful that I'll be at some of the events again next year, and I hope to see everyone out there!
