Dance Gavin Dance - Instant Gratification Whip I’m not a die hard fan of this band in the slightest anymore, they still have put out some legendary albums for the scene. And now that Tillian is no longer part of the band, I’ve been reflecting on his time in the band, especially this album and Mothership specifically. Mothership and this album are flawless in my opinion. The cadence and flow of the guitars mixed with the lyrics and having the perfect balance of a pop metalcore and chaotic at times mix in each of these songs is just done so well. As much as I don’t love this band anymore or follow them like I used to, this album will forever hold some great memories for me with songs such as Something New, Death of a Strawberry, The Cuddler, and Awkward. “I got a feeling I deserve it Wanna hurt me, baby?
