SOLD!!! I have tried to fall in love with a mk4 again and have failed again. Allthough its hands down the best drivetrain to grace any golf in my opinion I just cant get down with a mk4. This is my 4th at 5th try with an r32 and its a no go. This car is 100% stock besides an delete and 100% rust free! 160k runs and drives well (would drive it anywhere). All the important stuff works, ac is new, brakes are new, all windows, heat etc. But needs mk4 things such as control arm bushings new struts etc. Car has a salvage title but inspection shows a pretty easy front end collision and both fenders hood and bumper have been resprayed. I assume an insurance adjuster pencile whipped it before the values went up and totalled it. It does have light quarter damage on the pass rear. The time has finally come to pdr the hundreds of storage dents out of my baby. Pretty nerv racking going into disassemble a 💯 perfect 75 rocco interior that hasnt been touched since it was assembled 46 years ago. My pdr guy is nervous as hell having to snake through the sides and back of the perfect headliner to get the roof sorted. Its amazing how soft and pliable every single piece on this car is considering it came out of southern california. Didnt break a single clip😬 Although this car sat since 1989 in a garage until I rescued it a few years ago the prior 14 or so years of use it was obviously garaged as well. I will also assume it was parked in a parking garage at the womens work who bought it new and used it those 14 years before passing away or she worked nights.
