Received my blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu last night 🟦🟦🟦⬛🟦 Only 10 years after I bought my first gi 😅 I realise and I'm aware of people that achieved black belts in that same space of time so it's hardly an impressive achievement given the time frame However still something I'm proud of all the same Thank you to everyone I've ever trained Jiu Jitsu with across every gym. Last night we had the double trouble McDonald brothers! Fighting on the @fearlessmuaythai show in Kingussie 🥊 Both kids have absolutely smashed this fight camp and it showed! Going to both kids classes and coming along to the mixed teen/adult classes with dad for extra training and it paid off with both brothers coming home with the win! Craig had been not well from the start of the week and was worried about how it would affect him but he absolutely smashed it and even landed his spinning back kick 👏🏻 Next up was younger brother Cameron making his debut and he absolutely smashed it! Ciaran was same bit of a slow start but started to slow his opponent down rds 4/5 an just edged it but was a great fight and performance from both him a his opponent Thirdly was my brother Marky 1st round he started good but even next to his opponent he looked really small and had problems finding range to get in close ..he got caught with a uppercut and was stopped ..hats off too micheal big strong lad Marky has been out for 4 years think he put a lot of pressure on himself with almost 100 fans there for him also my own opinion being this is first time ave trained marky is that that Weight is to big for him if he comes again it will be at a lower weight Fourthly was Big wolfie Chris Donnelly This man is in his 40s and has been training like mad and has committed so much to club an training a think the occasion got to him big time an nerves with it being his first fight .. His opponent came out and put it on him an Chris just couldn't weather the storm and fight was stopped .. Fifthly was Jie robb was a really close fight in my eyes Dean scored well first two rds with jie coming back strong unfortunately Jie couldn't really throw his hands with his shoulder it has been an ongoing issue no excuses well done to Dean but think it would of been a different fight if he could of used his hands at 100% .. My first fight was in the Burroughs club in Cumbernauld (look it up for full effect lolll), so my return to the ring after covid at Bolton Stadium, fighting as one of the main events on a show streamed to over 70,000 people was a real “I’ve actually came quite far”.
