It sounds like a good idea but it's a trap, don't fall for it. The mistake many lawyers and law firm owners make is trying to be the lawyer everyone wants to work with. Here's what's happening if you think or act this way; 🚫 You will underprice your services to please clients who are hardly satisfied 🚫 You will struggle to hit your income goals..... It's not enough to know who your Ideal Paying Client is, you need to take it a step further to define the type of clients you do not want to work with. Why is this important? Doing this makes it easier to spot red flags when you see them. Do you have red flags for potential clients? Write them down. Next, have a qualifying process to ensure the right people have access to you. If you're focused on attracting serious minded clients, you must create a vetting process for them. One of the ways I achieve this for my clients is by helping them create a robust Client Intake Questionnaire. By going through this questionnaire, the potential client knows it's no "pick my brain" session.
