My last few days with adenomyosis in a nutshell 😭🥴 This months period has been one of the worst I have had in a long time. I have no idea what has contributed to making it so heavy and painful, even the pain relief wasn’t working for me. After attending the GP on the Friday and to be given the wrong dosage of medication, I eventually had to go into hospital on Friday night and spend the night there, of course all my bloods came back normal and they sent be back with more pain meds. I spent the more than 8 hours on a chair and was constantly bleeding which was making me feel so light headed. It got worse after coming home from hospital. I’ve never been in a dark place before with Adeno but this cycle I have felt every part of it painfully hurting me physically and affecting me mentally. A little more about me: I decided to specialize in Child and Youth Care instead of Counselling Psychology for several reasons, but the main one was my connection with my inner child. Here’s the short story: From about age 7, I began to realize my unhappiness as a child, which evolved into anger and resentment during adolescence. From about ages 7 to 19, I grappled with numerous mental health concerns, unaware they were issues at the time, despite many signs. The worst part was not knowing where to seek help until my early adulthood, when I sought it out on my own. The lack of support during my childhood and adolescence fueled my desire to be an adult figure in the lives of children and young people, advocating for them and walking alongside them relationally. I aim to be attuned to their needs and support them in response to their adversities and challenges. I want to be on their team, helping them fight the demons they face because I never had that support as a child. Through my own healing journey and working with young professionals, I’ve learned that resilience and healing in adulthood is also possible. The Delhi High Court on Friday ordered the Union Ministry of Defence to decide in eight weeks the plea demanding that women should be allowed to join the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force through Combined Defence Services (CDS) exams. A Division Bench of Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora disposed of the plea by filed by Advocate Kush Kalra with this direction. Kalra had made a representation before the Central government on December 22, 2023. Though Kalra's lawyer asked that the petition may be kept pending till the government decides his representation, the Court said that the government should decide the case without the "sword of the petition hanging over its head."
