We are very proud to announce that we've embarked on a new venture - Amazing Africa’s Future Factory! 🤩 Since mid April, we've actively been working with unemployed tourism graduates that are looking to break into the fascinating world of tourism, and collaborated with our newly appointed in-house trainer to develop a training scheme that allow our trainees to gain insight into the various departments of a tour operator, receive training on the workflows and understand the correlation between the departments. However, it is more than just theoretical knowledge; it is also about practical application. Our trainees will have the opportunity to do meet and greets at the airport, go on excursions, and gain firsthand experience of the work of a local tour operator and the importance of paying attention to detail. 👩🏫 We are giving up to three candidates the chance to join Amazing Africa’s Future Factory quarterly, and work actively together with our entire team to advance their careers in tourism. We are very proud to launch this exciting initiative and look forward to changing the future of our upcoming candidates! The continuous spray and mist created by the powerful waterfalls can be seen and felt from miles away, giving Victoria Falls its local name, “Mosi-oa-Tunya,” which means “The Smoke That Thunders” in the indigenous Lozi language. 2. The lunar rainbow, also known as the “moonbow,” is a mesmerizing natural phenomenon that can be seen at Victoria Falls during the full moon. The spray from the falls combined with moonlight creates a colorful rainbow at night. 3. The Victoria Falls is located at the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia. This park is renowned for its high population of chimpanzees and is often considered the best place for chimpanzee trekking in Uganda. Kibale Forest is also home to various other primate species, making it a great destination for primate enthusiasts. Our Carmen recently spotted a chameleon take residence in the branches - slowly navigating the tree, as its colours blend with the shadows and the leaves! 🌿 Like all chameleons, it has clasping feet and a prehensile tail which help it navigate in preferred arboreal environments, and eyes which are able to move independently of one another. When viewing this chameleon in close proximity, the details like the shapes and colours of it's scales are truly remarkable. A game drive through the Matusadona National Park awarded our Karo the golden opportunity to witness this exquisite lioness. 🦁 Did you know lionesses are the primary hunters of the pride. They are smaller and more agile than males and they use teamwork to bring an animal down. After a successful hunt, all the lions in the pride share the meal. But there is a pecking order, with the adult males eating first, followed by the lionesses and finally the cubs. Here's a Throwback Thursday to our Ryan's ascend to the top of Table Mountain to feast her on eyes on the views from above. 🚠 The Table Mountain Cable Car provides an unforgettable journey to the summit, boasting unparalleled views of Cape Town and its surroundings. The cable car has a rotating floor, allowing for 360-degree views throughout the ride. The cars can carry up to 65 passengers each and run continuously, transporting guests to the top of the mountain and back down again and the ride takes around 5 minutes each way! Our Mirjam recently enjoyed a night at The Ark, nestled within the heart of the Aberdare National Park in Kenya. 🙌 The Ark overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, which attracts a host of awesome wildlife and comprises of four decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide a superb location for wildlife to be seen. The ‘Ark’ theme is constant throughout, with all bedrooms resembling ships’ cabins and the different levels and open verandahs resembling ships’ decks. The best part?
