SLIPOTLE: Don't look behind the curtain, Kids. :: :: Have any of you noticed Chipotle slipping? A better quality of fast food? Yes. Environmentally better? In many ways yes. Ethically and/or morally better than other fast food chains? Debatable. But one thing is for sure... Chipotle are suffering from their own success. Individual restaurant management is no better than any other big chain at this point. Sure, they are more smiley faced, but so many of the locations are poorly maintained and buckling under the constant strain of hungry hordes. The line needs to be moved so fast that the details and care is slipping. And the cleaning staff often seem to throw in the towel at night when upper management is home with the kids. This picture of a more than overflowing Chipotle trashcan is a common site these days in these profit fiesta filled Texicana mess-halls. And this eyesore smacks of the problems ALL other major fast food chains have with staff not caring because upper management can't manage the local growth. Good help costs, not in basic employees pay, but in attention driven regional management that will light fires at each location. That is obviously a price they don't want to pay OR are paying but can't manage the mismanagement load.
