Now THIS is personal! We've been making highly customized albums with our clients for the last 13 years but nothing is more customized than when you design your own cover art! Our bride Kaelyn is an artist who wanted to create an image for use on her wedding album. We opted for a full cover rose gold foil varnish of her design, applied directly onto the distressed cream colored leather. They ordered a set of 2 6x8" hardback parent albums (small copies of the master).
This day had two things that I love in a wedding day. 1) Unusual photo locations. Instead of trying to commute into the loop sitting in traffic to hit iconic Chicago sights we stayed local to the Church and venue, finding sweet and funky urban things to do. 2) Deep traditions and symbolic ceremonies. They had a Ukrainian Orthodox ceremony, not pictured here.

Others book us solely for our signature engagement sessions. The Peoples Gas Pavilion (or Honeycomb as the locals mercifully call it) is located in Lincoln Park’s Nature Boardwalk, offering picturesque views of the Chicago skyline. It is conveniently situated near various photo spots, making it a great choice for wedding ceremonies. However, it is advisable to inquire about the current permit/rental regulations. More monochrome, this time for one cool couple Jacki & Mike. Her dress had all kinds of cinematic drama to it. I was trying to find a way to incorporate this iconic fountain at the Morton Arboretum's Fragrance Garden. I had already done a ton of colorful images showcasing the florals. It was time to lean into the film noir. It helps to have an artsy couple who wants to experiment. There was palpable joy at this first look between Shelby & Michael. Their ceremony flowed directly into cocktail hour and they had large families and wedding parties. These circumstances led to a no-brainer choice to see one another a few hours prior to the ceremony. They got to spend time together and capture all the group shots they wanted early. This let them enjoy cocktail hour later and have all the portraits they wanted too.
