A pair of reconditioned front callipers, and a pair of new bleed nipples for the rear brakes seen the full braking system (excluding lines, they're tbc) get a temporary overhaul. It's still the stock 1.6 calipers, discs and pads for now, but I'll be looking to switch them out to a Wilwood set-up front & rear. (Watch this space...) This was something that shouldn't have needed doing... But being an ape I decided to cross-thread new bleed nipples into the front callipers and so the only option was to replace them... @mx5parts offer a reconditioned set in exchange for your faulty ones which then go through the process of being made like the ones I installed. Kilka zdjęć z ostatnich napraw MG. Podczas wymiany klocków okazało się, że z zacisków zaczyna wyciekać płyn hamulcowy. MG dostało nowe zaciski pomalowane na czerwono, linki hamulca ręcznego, prowadnice, sprężynki, tarcze i klocki. Niestety nie znalazłem nowych jarzm, stare zostaly wyczyszczone z rdzy, pozbawione starych prowadnic i śruby (co wymagało wiercenia i palnika), zabezpieczone przed korozją oraz pomalowane na czerwono. Po założeniu nowego zestawu oraz odpowietrzeniu okazało się, że pompa hamulcowa nie trzyma ciśnienia, została zregenerowana.
