British Murder Boys, 12. 4. 2024, Bratislava, Slovakia That moment when your dreams come true is just priceless. 🩶🩶🩶 Under the title of British Murder Boys Anthony Child (Surgeon) and Karl O’Connor (Regis) - my all time two favorite DJs/producers, by listening to their work I fell in love with techno music and electronic music in general - adventure deeper into their industrial influences, both having been cornerstones of the British techno scene, hugely influential and uncompromising. At the beginning of April 2024 they have announced details of their debut full length album! In Bratislava, Slovakia at the most famous aclaimed cult techno event Palicavonzvreca, we had the opportunity to experience a British Murder Boys live act and a set list consisting of new songs that will be released only this summer! What a privilage to witness the new production by these two icons of British techno scene, who inspired many world class DJs around the globe. Their new material might sound somewhat of a departure from the heavy Industrial sound they originally made their name on from 2003-2005, but the album is no less murderous. To witness their live performance at our club brought goosebumps all over my body. I’m absolutely grateful for this experience and I would love to go to more of their gigs again. Two years ago, I discovered a DJ Boss @dj_boss_sk track played by Talismann and fell in love with the distinctive Slovak techno sound—gnarly, distorted, and gritty. Exactly what I look for in my DJ sets! For my birthday in December, my girlfriend gifted me rare vinyl records from @palicavonzvreca label. After a few messages with the label we decided to fly to Slovakia and meet the godfathers of Slovak techno, Loktibrada and Rumenige. This Friday, 2 June, we will have the honour to reopen @wax_bratislava hosting night1 in collaboration with @palicavonzvreca presenting the Bratislava debut of Georgian artist @othr.msc alongside @unhumangr ; @c4at_op b2b @the_undertakers_tapes ; @nada_qina & #Loktibrada OTHR is the project of Georgian Ladouka Ninua, a resident of KHIDI Club in Tbilisi, where he regularly plays memorable performances both as a DJ and live artist. His close connections to his home town through his mentoring program of local DJs and producers have left an enduring legacy that has firmly established him at the forefront of Tbilisi's musical scene. Music has been an integral part most of Ninua's life ever since he first learned to play the guitar and piano from the age of 6. From this experience Ninua has cultivated an impressive knowledge of music which he has demonstrated over the years with a number of releases across different genres. OTHR’s production displays Ninua’s diverse musical development, from his background as a guitarist and vocalist in metal and post-punk bands, an award winning ambient/noise producer and to his present characteristic industrial-oriented techno with punk vocals defined by groovy distorted baselines mixed with powerful harmonious and cold concrete notes.
