Been a long time since I posted a photo of myself , I felt embarrassed and ashamed. Been over 2 years since I could train properly . I got sick and just getting up to work was hard so training stopped . During COVID I lost around 80kg. Over the last 2 years being sick I put almost all back on Thanks to the guidance of @atma_acupuncture @morningtonchinesemedicine I am down 38kg in the last 8 weeks. I train 4-6 am everyday without fail and am reclaiming the person I want to be . I’m gluten free , dairy free , refined sugar free . My journey has been a long one with many bumps along the way. Needing a rt hip replacement and bilateral knee replacements, I started my journey to lose weight in 2022. I was losing slowly, but mobility went downhill, being bone-on-bone in three joints along with OA. Finally, my doctor suggested gastric bypass to get my weight down for surgery. February of 2023, I made the decision to do it. Bump one was in March of 2023, and we found eight veins in my right leg had occlusion. Hence, I was put on bloodthinners, and my June surgery put off for six months until cleared for the bypass. I worked the program and lost weight on my own until then. December 2023, I had my gastric procedure. Bump two, infection of one incision and in the hospital for three days on antibiotics, discharged on Christmas Eve. Finally got my hip replacement five weeks ago in March. Discharged on day twelve. Currently, I am receiving physical therapy and getting stronger every day. I decided to have pictures today on my birthday to see my progress. The baratric doctor said I've lost a third of what they have predicted for me. Can't wait to be able to exercise and walk long distances to get to a healthier me. Well this weekend didnt go as planned. I went to the U.S. open and honestly weight cut was fine. After my first match my body just quit on me… I fell short. But I still went out there to compete winning first match by tech but getting laced up for a tech on me match two and hit wrenched for tech on three. My body still hasn’t recouped. . I was able to be out there to support our @threshold.wrestling coach @a_lee_hays take a national title recouping a loss from before! My good friend and fellow coach on Sundays from @swarmwrestlingclub @prince_ry_145 kill the game and claim a national title as well! And my buddy and fellow club coach from @savagehouse.training coach Max claim a national title! Watched out close friend “sick dog” hector Ramirez from @dogpoundmmafitness make the finals!
