I would be remiss if I let this day pass without acknowledging that is my four year anniversary of working at Palm Avenue. I started at our sister store, Rebecca & Co, as a summer job in 2016. They moved me to Palm Avenue for fall hours and I figured I would do it for a few months on nights and weekends. I only owned one item of Lilly Pulitzer clothing, so I wore it on August 16 to work, despite the fact that I had always worn black for Elvis on this day 🤣🤣🤣. Four years (and countless Lilly items) later and I haven’t been able to leave! I love that it’s relaxing to me, I get to play dress up, all the wonderful people I’ve met, and of course the discount 🤣. But this year I’m especially thankful, as I was ready to get out and work a lot this summer after being in quarantine and having the normalcy of a regular school schedule taken away. I spent a lot of my summer break at Palm Avenue, and am very grateful for the opportunity to work with wonderful people and be surrounded by bright colors that can’t help but lift your spirits. It’s been really special and fun.
