I saw one our heifers, Penny mooing like she was calling for a calf…suspicious! We didn’t think she was gonna calve for a few more days. I followed a ways behind her around the pastures. She continued to moo like she was calling for a calf. Lol she led me to the rest of the cows. She stopped mooing and started grazing. 🙄 She’s a smaller cow as she’s a 1st time heifer and I just knew there was no way a calf was still in there lol so I decided to search for the calf on my own. I walked around our 40 acres of pasture and sage brush area twice 🤪. Calves are just so good at staying hidden! Finally I started heading in walking our middle pasture fence line and there was a tiny tan calf 😍 A little Heifer! 💕💕💕 🙌🏼 This is our cow Charity’s great granddaughter 💕 so fun watching their lineage grow and continue in our herd. Rounding up the ladies to be preg checked! We had the vet out and had a very successful day! Most everyone who was supposed to be pregnant was 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 super exciting to see our herd growing! We had some sad news about our cow Killer who we just purchased in November. She had a tough time being transported over, then bloated and almost died, and now the vet said that her last calf left her uterus destroyed and she won’t be able to breed back 😢 We had big plans for her so it was a huge loss.
