The Big T-Rex skull without it neck bones is a good size for a sofa table 😂🦖 Waiting for getting painted. In my studio it’s hard to make pictures because it’s so crowded at the moment. I really need more space. So I brought it into the living room for good size comparison. Normally a banana is a good size comparison, but this one is more a bunch type of thing😂. In front is my „normal“ T-Rex sculpture, getting dwarfed by the BIG-TRex. It’s 1:2 scale and it’s even bigger with its neck. What a beautiful beast 🦖 It’s getting real big. In front is my „normal“ T-Rex sculpture, which is a big model when you have it at home on your table, but it’s getting dwarfed by the BIG-TRex. I like to plan a new design with toys or bought models. One of the great challenge is the metal armature. It’s harder to plan everything just in a 3D CAD model. I got these Bandai kits for the T-Rex and Triceratops also a kit from Esalink for a T-Rex. I was a little disappointed at first about the Bandai kits, because I thought they were a bit bigger, but the quality is ok and the scales are matching. The other model is ok for a toy. It includes paints and glue and metal rods, these material is a little soft, more like rubber. I have a very cool project from Matthew from Seattle in the US. He got real Spinosaurus Teeth from Morocco and trust’s me to build them into one of my Spinosaurus sculptures for him. Wow! What a cool opportunity! I always wanted to do exactly that, but couldn’t find teeth for a good price. I will cut holes in the sculpture and use a self hardening epoxy clay. I will wrap the teeth in cellophane and push them into the clay and wiggle them a little bit for space. Then I will put velvet or leather in there for holding the teeth and maybe a little brass spring around the teeth.
