I just have a lot of feelings… 🥈L5 Artistic PSO Northeast ‘23 This was 2 years in the making for me and SO much happened in those 2 years. First I need to thank my coaches who helped me put my vision together with their pole expertise @maggie_falling & @cjpoledance I am only who I am as a pole dancer because you believe in me and invest in my pole journey as amazing teachers and cheerleaders. My unstoppable support system (of which there’s honestly too many to tag and for that I am abundantly greatful) but most notably @chrismadamson who dealt with all the ups and downs and spirals and literally built me a studio so I could train this piece. And my training buddy and best friend pole baby @another.emo.unicorn for being there to tell me to stop being a bitch or cheer me on depending on my mood. To my human props @adventures_of_tola_and_pole & @phoebeflows who made this show so spectacular and literally held me and supported me during those critical moments (and in Melissa’s case, saved the day by fixing the prop last minute) When I started this piece I wanted to win. By the day of, I just wanted to give you all a show - something that made the audience feel alive. I wanted overwhelming joy and excitement and energy to fill the room. So many people in my support group now didn’t know me the last time I competed (2018) and they still blindly believe in me as a pole dancer, teacher and performer. I have spent many years in a cloud of imposter syndrome not believing that I deserved your admiration. I wanted to give this piece as a gift to all of my amazing students and friends. I wanted to prove that I deserve to be your pole mom. I have spent years cheering on my pole babies (shoutout to my gold medal babes @another.emo.unicorn and @jazzybeepoles ) and to hear it back was a dream come true. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and my wild dreams.
