I wanted to give Ruby a shout out, when we started learning agility 5.5 years ago never in a million years did I figure she would become the agility dog she has! It took so many trials before she would stay in the ring, stop visiting everyone, and actually focus and look at us now! I couldn’t be prouder of how the girls did at their first Agility Regionals! They were both in competitive classes and absolutely killed it. Zoey got third (I might still be in shock) in 12” Specials with 437.50 points and easily qualified for nationals and my little nine year old Ruby ran 5/6 runs cleans for a total of 540.30 points and fourth in 8” DD Vets, also qualifying for nationals. We definitely had our moments, of course Ruby had to do a Ruby thing and blow me off for our one fault, and Zoey really struggled day one with the heat and day two with a stressed environment and a storm but we persevered and I can’t wait to see what these little monsters will conquer next. We’ve had a busy day, starting with some hunt training and ending with a play date with our main man B ❤️.
We had such an amazing weekend at OC Agility’s last indoor trial before fall! Ruby won her Bronze Award of Merit and Zoey got her Master Snooker Dog of Canada and her Advanced Agility Dog of Canada. Truthfully it was a tough weekend, Ruby was very distracted and very naughty but somehow managed to squeak out the Q’s she needed for her title. Outdoor trials are always harder for Ruby as there are so many smells so we’ll see how spring/summer go! Zoey tried so hard and also miraculously got the Q’s she needed. It took us so long to get out of Advanced Standard so we are so happy! And with her snooker Q she now has all her master games titles at only 3 years old!! #agilitydog #agilitydogsofinstagram #aacagility
