ئینگلیسی/کوردی/فارسی: A radicular cyst, also known as a periapical cyst, is a type of odontogenic cyst that is typically associated with permanent teeth. It usually is associated with maxillary central incisors followed by mandibular first molars. Most cases of the radicular cyst are asymptomatic and they are diagnosed accidentally during routine radiographic examination, unless they become secondarily infected. Surgical treatment of apical periodontal cysts typically involves enucleation. Czy torbiel korzeniowa może występować BEZ przyczynowego korzenia❓🧐 Otóż tak❗️ 25-letnia pacjentka zgłosiła się z powodu silnego bólu, nacieku zapalnego przedsionka jamy ustnej i wycieku treści ropnej z okolicy po usuniętym ponad 5 lat temu zęba 18. W wykonanym OPG stwierdziłam podejrzenie obecności guza torbielowatego w zachyłku zębodołowym prawej zatoki szczękowej, co potwierdziłam w badaniu CBCT. Guz torbielowaty niszczył wyrostek zębodołowy szczęki prawej w miejscu po dawno przebytej ekstrakcji zęba 18 i penetrował do zatoki szczękowej. Przy ucisku wyrostka zębodołowego z kieszonki za zębem 17 następował wyciek treści ropnej. Zęby 17 o 16 były żywe i bez próchnicy. W znieczuleniu nasiękowym wyłuszczyłam guz torbielowaty w całości i przesłałam do badania histopatologicznego. Stwierdzone polaczenie ustno-zatokowe po usunięciu guza zamknęłam sposobem Wassmunda-Borusiewicza. Gojenie przebiegło bardzo dobrze i bez powikłań 👍🏻 Wynik badania histopatologicznego postawił diagnozę - torbiel korzeniową. W istocie była to torbiel resztkowa. Torbiel resztkowa jest szczególna odmianą torbieli korzeniowej, która rozwija się w wyniku niedoszczętnego wyłuszczenia ziarniny lub mieszka torbieli, bądź pozostawienia nierozpoznanej torbieli po usunięciu zęba przyczynowego. Tak więc najpewniej lata temu podczas ekstrakcji ósemki pozostawiono „zalążek” torbieli, która przez kilka lat rosła bezobjawowo do sporych rozmiarów, a po nadkażeniu bakteryjnym dała o sobie znać w postaci dolegliwości bólowych i zapalnych. #torbiel #stomatolog #dentysta #chirurg #chirurgiastomatologicza #zatoki #zdrowiejamyustnej #cyst #radicularcysts #dentisry
